With fans like MariaReynolds, this program with their resources and recruiting base in a metro of 3 million, is doomed to wallow in mediocrity because a group of ppl want to save up extra pennies on the dollar.

Rich Grawer wanted to succeed here, but at the end, he couldn’t take the program to where it needed to be. Spoon did. Jim Crews may have wanted to succeed too and had his heart in the right place. Guess what ? His coaching sucked. It happens. This is a results business. Division 1 basketball lest some of us forget. Like someone else said, the reaction from the fanbase is tame compared to other power and non power programs. Be glad you don’t belong to a fanbase that sent out death threats to the CFP committee before the national championship game.

The fact that St. Bonaventure, a program that’s located in damn near Siberia with an endowment and resources that are much much less than SLU’s, is 10-3 and has had the same amount of success in the past decade should embarrass every single person in charge in Midtown.

At this point, we should be greatful that anyone gives this wretched program tv time.
