  1. Lol you are making my day. I thank you for that. If you would read my posts you would know i am a college basketball fan...but more importantly i am a fan of these young men who have worked hard over the years to get to this point. I want what's best for them. I share a different viewpoint from what i know and have heard. If by asking for factual information to dispel what i believe to be true is "defending" someone then i guess i am at fault. Perhaps you can spread some factual information to help me understand the accusations that have been placed on Martin. Thanks in advance
  2. What is the basis for the accusation though?
  3. To many conspiracy theories. Porter lived in Columbia and Mizzou was in the running before Martin got there. Many local kids were eyeing Mizzou as well as SLU but the previous coaches made both choices unpopular amongst kids and parents. If you know Tilmon then you know he has a lot of people in his ear. You would also know he changes his mind frequently. He did it during his AAU career as well as high school. He played with Mokan and the Eagles. The Head Coach at Illinois gets fired. Tilmon wants to stay close to home. When Tilmon asked for his release inquiries were made by both parties about him coming to SLU...that didn't work out. Mizzou became the best option....with a coach with ties to the area. I know your version is more entertaining and helps in the SLU vs Mizzou debate so i guess we will just agree to disagree on the subject.
  4. Do coaches express interest on kids that are verbally committed to other programs?
  5. Do you have anything to actually offer to the discussion ?
  6. No problem. Liddell and his dad are standing behind Stockard and McKinney.
  7. McKinney visited Missouri last weekend. K State this weekend
  8. Rumors were floating about Gordon last high school season. In my opinion it was because Mizzou became another viable option for the kids wanting to stay close to home. As far as i know Gordon doesn't have a bad relationship with the Porters. To play alongside Porter and Trey Young was probably to much to pass up when it came to Mokan. He *chose* not to play with BBE. He would have played 17u on Goodwins team if he wanted to. He *chose* not to play with his WG teammate on TeamRamey. Since his commitment to SLU things have happened to make me believe he will keep his commitment. But if you know Gordon...anything is possible. I never thought he would return to the WG district...but he did.
  9. I am having a great week and weekend. Hopefully you are as well.
  10. I heard a couple of schools have cooled on him. He should have a good year tho at Vashon. They will be young this year but one of the top teams in the area. I previously coached AAU.
  11. Lol = I thought it was funny. No hidden message. That Cartaere topic was discussed last high school season. I think he has built a good relationship with the SLU staff but Gordon has been known to change his mind over the years. It was just funny to me that the topic has been brought back up.
  12. Yeah. It never fails in this forum. Good observation
  13. I heard Wiseman is coming back to BBE next summer but Liddell will certainly get his share of touches
  14. Lol No. I do know him tho. I have seen a lot of the local boys in the 2017 and 2018 class over the years...that's all.
  15. Watson is TeamRamey. Been that way for 4-5 yrs. He's loyal to the program. His development came while playing for Ramey. Tate coached Goodwin.
  16. I think SLU, K State, and Mizzou are all in the running. K State was one of his 1st offers. I heard rumblings they may have some scholarships available next year. SLU and Mizzou would be good fits as well. Hopefully it's just a desire to play close to home and nothing is wrong with his family.
  17. Pretty much sums him up. Good kid...family values education. St. Mary's will be one of the top teams in the STL this year.
  18. Watson has not changed high schools and has remained loyal to TeamRamey even though other AAU teams have tried hard to get him. Cartaere Gordon changed high schools and AAU teams. Perhaps you meant him.
