We really don't know, do we. The Bills are trying to play 9 games in mostly Dec, and then the A10 Schedule in Jan, Feb and early March. That is about 9 games in 30 days, or a game every 3 to 4 days. There are not many windows for rescheduling. The only, maybe, easy reschedule would be where we (or anyone) has a H and H opponent having to postpone a game. The teams could play 2 games in 2 days, at whichever site makes sense. And just saw that Illinois State has 8 hoops players in quarantine. Apparently the others on the team already had it, so they have the antibodies. As you know, ISU is in the Nebraska MTE with the Bills.

A10 Early Entries & Transfer (Consolidated Listing)
HoosierPal replied to Taj79's topic in Billikens.com Main Board
Well I was wrong. Here is one more approved transfer for the A10. Bishop is basically coming home back to Philly. Bishop didn't do much at X last season, but should take some of the pressure off of Daly. -
I hope you are right on BC. Last season they finished with a NET of 157. Our win at BC was only a Quad 3 W. If they slip much, it might be a Q4 game at Chaifetz. They would have to improve a lot for the game to qualify as a Q2 (NET 31-75) game here.

Yeah and here is another one. I hope the NCAA has a plan for getting teams cleared sooner than two weeks. I thought the new rapid test was available and would be used to clear all non-positive players promptly. It is inevitable that basketball games will be postponed or canceled. 34 NCAA football games have been postponed or canceled to date, and not all of the 130 D1 football teams have started play as of last weekend. So you put together your schedule, you get on your testing program and take it one event at a time. In football there is some room for rescheduling games. Not sure that same availability will be there for hoops. There are more games and fewer open windows for rescheduling. This will be one wild ride!

And it starts. If two positives mean two weeks off, this ain't gonna work very well.

Boston College is visiting the Jewel of Midtown, but they are predicted to be fighting Wake Forest for ACC doormat. Wouldn't that be something if an ACC team was our worst ranked team in OOC.

Jordan Goodwin busted his nose in practice. Hence the face guard.

I have no idea how good OSU will be, either at the start or the end of the year. I looked at one benchmark, Top 144, and they are placed at #32, three places behind of the Bills. Their write-up pretty much says Cade Cunningham will have to carry this team. I don't know, but #32 coming out of the box is okay for me.

I have no idea what P6 teams are still looking. My assumption is that P6's already have a landing spot, or they have elected to not go to a MTE. Butler is in that category. So you are looking at Mid to Low Mids to fill out the Nebraska field, if in fact they can get 16. You left off Oklahoma State, which will have perhaps the freshman of the year, and who knows, the player of the year in Cade Cunningham. While criticizing some of the MTE fields, keep in mind that for some of the invited schools, this will help salvage their athletic department. The low mids aren't paying an entry fee and some will be taking home a buy game check from the MTE. At KY, Calipari has stated that he wants to help the Detroit program survive. (His son plays there.) The Coach K Invite is centered around social justice and racial equality.

A10 Early Entries & Transfer (Consolidated Listing)

I am not positive, but I believe this completes the list of A10 waivers for those players who filed. (this one happened a while back.) What is unknown is if any will file now, with the one free year rule now in place. Medley-Bacon is perhaps at the top of that list. You could put Okofor in that list too. If you get the year back, why not suit up? -
Anyone catch this last night? I did not. Curious as to the new element to his game. (A sky hook?) On Sunday, Coach was on KMOX. He 'almost' verified SLU's Nebraska MTE involvement, mentioned 16 teams, and that we would play 2 or 3 games. So it isn't a 16 team bracket.
-
Curious, where did you pick that up? I wouldn't blame him at all for hanging it up. Two ACL tears in three years is really rough. He is a grad student, and perhaps he feels his future is something outside of competitive hoops.
-
Tough break for Mr. Sherod. Two ACL tears in his college career. Trey Burton will get more minutes as will Connor Crabtree. Burton would give them a more conventional C-2F-2G lineup, while Crabtree will provide some relief outside the arc (36.7%). Touted freshman Dji Bailey will need to step up quickly.

Mr. Bell wearing his boot yesterday. Let's assume his aerobic conditioning won't be a problem.
-
My question is will be get a free year while redshirting, and have 3 years on court still left? He has played 2, and everyone else is getting 5 years of playing time. So why shouldn't he get the same, even though he redshirts this season?
-
Looks like it might be his first. Plus a short scouting report.
-
Here is another interesting twist on the new free year rule. So let's say -example only- French decides he wants a 5th year and wants to go back home to a New England school to play it out. He would count against the 13 roster limit for the new school, but wouldn't count against the 13 if he stayed at SLU. This whole new additional year plus the upcoming free transfer rule makes my head hurt.

Watson would love that plan.

I believe the new rule basically gives a player 6 years to play up to 5 years. I'm assuming that Okoro might have 'three court years' still left. But I could be wrong.
