Agree 100% about Gordo. I think we would have a whole lot of trouble scoring against Butler and they are young but do not waste any possessions like we sometimes did. I think Zoubek was big on defense and on the glass and that made the big difference. He might not be as offensively talented as Willie but I dont think Willie is as big of a matchup problem for Butler. The only thing in our favor is Butler is pretty low scoring so we might have been able to hang around but Mitchell would be hassled all day and our other guards would have problems handling the rock with their defenders in their grill.

I think Cassity is a decent guard that can provide a little offense off the bench but when he has to play 30 mins we are going to be in trouble. He doesn't defend very well and when he has to bring the ball up we are in trouble. We needed to attack the press last night and Mitchell was the only one who could but when he was forced to pass or was out the primary concern for Cassity and Salelech was to cross half court without getting ripped. I hope we are deep enough for Cassity and Salelech to come off the bench next year but I dont know that much about the recruits coming. Also props to Derrty Darren Young for making some plays and not being afraid to attack in crucial stretches of the game

I dont know about that but I have a friend in the athletic office that said J-Kwon's (of semi fame from the club banger Tipsy) manager contacted SLU about performing before/after/during halftime of the game 3 friday. Supposedly he has a new cd that was just released. I am not a big fan of the Kwon and dont think anyone in the athletic department will go for this

I dont know if I am going to make it but I hear there are a bunch of people going to Sportszone and it is going to be a hoopla

He basically said the players are missing too much class from the travel and kept talking about their academics, he doesn't think that anyone on teh team will be in the NBA, he won't accept a bid to a post season tourney under the NIT and that he is going to take the guys on the radio to Adriana's on the hill after next time he is on.
