  1. It's going to be hard to root for the Salukis for the rest of the season.
  2. They can't guard IV. He has to hit these FT's
  3. At least they're still calling it Billiken basketball before commerical breaks. If Ramsey screams "BANG!" after another Saluki 3, I'm turning the game off.
  4. Had to limit it to 6 choices... Your lineup is probably more likely to occur than KL, TL, IV, BH, JJ though.
  5. I'll be watching the streaming video as well. You can find it at http://horizonleague.cstv.com/ . If you paid for the Texas A&M game, you can use your login information from that instead of creating a new account.
  6. This time of year, the polls are much more accurate than the RPI. I'd sooner look to the Sagarin Ratings than RPI at this point. Sagarin has SLU at 74 and Loyola Chicago at 68. Based on his rankings and system, Sagarin has tonight's game at 83-78, Loyola. The Bills can definitely take this one. Also of note, Sagarin has the A-10 #9, just ahead of C-USA at this point. That's higher, and in my opinion, more accurate than any other site I've seen so far.
  7. They don't have anyone over 6'8 if it makes you feel any better. IV is going to dominate at Pacific.
  8. It would be nice to see Polk use his speed and take it to the hoop when others can't get open. His one-on-one skills are much better than his outside shot. He definitely has the ball skills, but he just doesn't drive often enough.
  9. They're looking weak. 2-3. Only 1 win over a division 1 opponent...a 1 point victory over UMKC at home.
  10. I'd agree too. However, if they only win 2 of those 4 tough ones on the road, winning 2 of the 3 tough non-conference home games is a must. (UNC, Mo. State, Ole Miss). This Loyola game is huge.
  11. Does anyone have legitimate information about our recruiting this season? Who are we making offers to? It's a little disturbing that we haven't signed anyone yet, but I have faith in Soderberg. The regime has done a great job of bringing in local talent over the last couple of years. I'm sure I'm not the only one getting a little anxious here.
  12. The A-10 has traditionally been a strong basketball conference, and will prove to be a good decision for the Bills in the future. They can definitely compete in the A-10, where they wouldn't be able to compete for several years in the Big East. The A-10 has yielded several topsteams in the country in the recent past. Think UMass, St. Joes, George Washington. In a perfect world, we would create a new conference filled with the top A-10, C-USA, Horizon League, and Valley Teams. Here's what Milwaukee Billiken's 14 team "Super Cool Dream Conference" would look like: Saint Louis Charlotte De Paul St. Joes Creighton Xavier Butler Loyola Chicago Houston Memphis Dayton Southern Illinois Missouri State Wichita State
  13. Ian has been rushing his shots this season. He needs to settle down and make that second move like he did so well last season. The only game I actually got to see (the A&M game), he seemed especially flustered. He'll get his rhythm back as the season progresses. Don't forget, he's still posting numbers through the first 5 games that are pretty much the same as last season. With the new offense and TL and KL stepping it up, I wouldn't ask for more than the solid double-double IV's been giving us so far this season.
  14. I couldn't agree more. How annoying was it to watch SLU peel off 2-on-1 fastbreaks in exchange for shot-clock draining long jumpshot setups in years past?
  15. It was good to see JJ back on the court and Bryce back on the bench where he belongs. I'd much rather see Lisch and Brown popping threes than our gangly 7'0 backup center. After watching Byrce get completely owned in the paint against A&M, it's good to see JJ back.
