  1. Look I am not happy with the job Brad has done the last twelve months, but no one should act like he is playing with pocket aces either.
  2. Well they don't house the players in crappy former public housing. They have better practice and training facilities than SLU currently has. Fordham's home court is a fun place to play and see a game.
  3. I think those are some very good selling points. It is also a very good idea not to go in West Pine.
  4. Wait you mean I can take a virtual tour and look at drawings of a building that isn't fully funded and might be finished in twelve months? You also are going to house me in outdated former low income housing? Where do I sign? I'm in.
  5. They all offer a better situation facility wise than SLU does currently. That includes either on campus venue or a being the venues number one tannant. It also includes having better practice facility areas than us. It also includes having better living quaters for players on campus. They also are not located in the heart of the most violent city in the country. Drew you were the one that said SLU had advantages over the members of our conference. Would you please state them?
  6. What are the plusses that Brad has when he tries to go out and sell the program? What are the clear advantages that SLU has over other schools around the country and in our conference? What does this metro area offer that is better than other areas around the country?
  7. Do you mean the connections you get upon graduation that you don't build in DC, Philly, Cincinatti, Charlotte, or New York? They all have either more vibrant business communities or just happen to be nation's capitol.
  8. When was the last time you heard a recruit say he went to a school because it was ranked in the top 75 in education? If that was the case Pterson would have never backed out on Princeton. Do you mean that campus that is surrounded by some of highest crime neighborhoods in the nation's most violent city? Do you mean that hole on Compton? The building that isn't done yet? That building that isn't fully funded yet? The building that construction was begun on years after it was promised? The building that no one knows if it will be completed on time?
  9. What does SLU offer that the is better than the other A-10 schools?
  10. What does SLU have to offer that other schools don't? I think SLU has a lot to offer. But since you keep on saying that SLU has more to offer than these other schools, what are these advantages?
  11. If anybody is calling for Mike Anderson's head for not locking up this kid. I have got to give Brad credit for hanging in there with the big boys on this kid so for. He needs to close the deal on at least to of these jocus or the spring period will be a bust no matter how good Michell and Relephorde(sp) turn out. This team needs immediate help.
  12. You are letting your Texas roots show. Boomer Sooner!

  14. He will probably not sign till after the signing date. He has a visit scheduled for UT on April 13. "One of the nation’s top junior college forwards, Rodney Alexander, is set to visit Knoxville on April 13th. He is listed at 6-7, 225 and has already visited Butler, Saint Louis, Illinois and Indiana. Alexander is the only visit that Tennessee has scheduled at this point." I pulled this from the following site: http://www.volnation.com/blog/
  15. I have not heard anything else besides that he is no longer intrested in MU. A week ago they thought they basically had the kid locked up.
  16. According to the guy from powermizzou.com Rodney Alexander has told the tigers he is not intrested in them any more.
  17. Courtside, are you keeping up with what is going on at Arkansas today. Supposedly they will offer Calipari a sickening amount of money to take over the basketball program and if he doesn't accept their next target is Mike Anderson. Also, the football program is having their own version of the a Quinn Snyder soap opera. It is not as bad so far, but it is turning into a huge embarrasment for Nutt. Conflicting reports on if he will survive even the weekend.
  18. I guess you forgot about Larry Brown. Billy Tubbs turned down NBA jobs when he had those great seasons with OU. Only the last year of Tim Floyd's time at ISU was in the Big 12, The rest was the Big 8. KSU lost Kruger to Florida. So it is not like none of the coaches were respected and successful. None of the seven schools listed from the old Big 8 lost their coach to the NBA, UNC, or Kentucky. The point I was trying to make is that the old Big 8 schools had more success and stability before the Big 12 was formed.
  19. I know you just never had that kind of turnover in the old Big 8. It also seemed like the basketball teams at most of those schools were better then too. I haven't checked it out too see if that is the case.
  20. It is intresting that seven of those teams are members of the old Big 8. I think you can make a case that the formation of the Big 12 has hurt the former Big 8 members overall in basketball.
  21. First Billy Packer now Trey. http://www.theonion.com/content/news_brief..._apologizes_for
  22. Thats the kind of effort we need out of every fan.
  23. We are going to sign a couple of werewolves next year.
  24. Calipari showed up with a pimped out baby stroller yesterday. The NCAA really needs to look into this.
