Recruit (1/7)

  1. I am actually going to be in st. louis and I am hoping to leave my meetings to watch the guys practice.
  2. I have never seen Lindell play so I have no opinion of what he can do. From what everyone else says he is going to be unbelievable. Lisch has an unbelievable shot and can get himself open. BUT the biggest problem with Lisch that I have is that he is going to struggle seeing over the guy that is guarding him. Polk has the same problem. All and all I think that they will be able to contribute this year. I feel like some of the players that got a lot playing time last year will not see as much time due to the talent of these two players.
  3. No one is every going to show up to the games besides the true billiken fans unless SLU has a winning record. Hopefully the player that came in this year, can stay injury free and led the billikens to the post season. The other thing that is going to help the basketball team out is SLU building the arena.
  4. The problem with the strength and conditioning is that there is only one strength coach. He has a one weight program that every sport is doing. I am sorry but the cross country team and basketball team should not be on the same program. The problem with this is not everyone needs to gain strength. Some need to maintain there strength and or possible just tone up.
  5. No, I still haven’t been cleared to play. I have to wait until December before I start doing things. I am through with playing basketball. It is going to be something that I will miss since I wasn't 100% my senior year. I was dealing with the concussions since individuals were going on. As work goes, I took the summer off and plan on starting work in Nashville on the 15th. I plan on checking in and out of this to find out how team is doing. Especially the BIG MEN!!! GO BILLIKENS!!!
  6. I hope they are not for sale because I would love to have my game shorts. I feel like I at least deserve it.
  7. I think that the team is going to surprise a lot of you. Unfortunately, the team, from top to bottom was thrown into the fire last season. I truly believe that the team will be at least a .500 team. With Ian coming back from playing all summer and Bryce developing over this summer the team will be pretty good. The guards that you have to worry about are the new ones. There will be a transition period in the early part of the season before they are used to playing at the level that they are, but most importantly to Brad system. Points to Brad mean nothing it is straight Defense. With not knowing who we are going to play in the beginning of the year hopefully it will take only a couple of cupcake games for the new guards to get adjusted. Probably the most important thing SLU has to worry about for them to be successful is that they have an injury free year.
  8. Why would you say that Ian is a disappointment? Ian has to adjust back to playing international ball. It is a less physical game over there. I am not making any excuses for Ian but he is the future of the Billiken program. Believe it or not he is the one that will dictate whether or not SLU takes the next steps to get into the NCAA tourney.
