  2. Did anyone transfer from Georgia when they had problems last year...did they have to sit out a year if so?
  3. I saw on espn.com that Dipsy scored two goals and had one assist in the Chicago Fire's last win over some Caribbean club.
  4. hopefully we will play them 3 times this year...the 3rd being the big dance.
  5. Hughes was in his second NBA season.
  6. Or could he be using it as a recruiting tool in to help sign Tyler Hansborough from Poplar Bluff, MO? About 2 1/2 hours south of St. Louis.
  7. Last semester Shortal was a fifth year senior in the business school, I'm not sure if he has since graduated. Mooney just tried out and walked on...he has a lot of family that attended SLU from out of the Austin, TX area and he followed in their footsteps coming to SLU.
  8. Left handed pitcher Dan Shouse was drafted by the Cardinals late in the draft, three years ago. After a stint in the rookie league, Johnson City, he was moved up to Peoria. The next season he was traded to the Cleveland Indians organization...and was unsuccessful in low A ball somewhere in Georgia. Now works in the St. Louis area and is out of playing baseball.
  9. I agree with the hostile environment issue...as a student I was in a short lived group who attempted to be very hostile to the opponets (i.e. standing behind their bench and calling them names, yelling death threats at the officials, telling players how much fun we had with their mothers the previous night, etc.), however we were escorted out of the arena our first five games by savvis security. I'm not saying we didn't go a little overboard, however even when we were "behaving" they were ready to pull the trigger on us by placing a guard directly infront of us. I hope the new arena allows for more leniant rules, as college kids sometimes deserve the right to be college kids.
  10. I'm all for the redevelopment of downtown, so I don't want to discourage people from frequenting the area...however I tried Kitchen K a few weeks ago only to be quite disappointed. I probably should have known, but the Sweet Potato Fries were just to interesting to pass up. The steak tasted like it was cooked right on the coals...blah.
