I saw a little of GT's game against Ohio State. They strike me as similiar to AZ, athletic, quick, not too overpowering inside. Tell me if I'm way off base but wouldn't UB have the Bills preparing for much of the same as last sat. If so, maybe we can stay a lot closer than people think.

According to the story it wasn't checks, it was cash. However, the fact that Bunge deposited it in a bank should make it relatively easy to support or not support Clemons claim. This thing, if true, is a can of worms way beyond NCAA bans. Clemons lawyer advising him to lie, a cause for being disbarred, Nark? Odom and possibly Snyder lying under oath? Perjury, Nark? IRS problems for the players, i.e. unreported income? If Players accept money, aren't they penalized by the NCAA as well, as in Hasta la vista baby? Whoa, this is a nasty business. One interesting note, wouldn't you think Stewart's wife would have cut this conversation short? I realize I am a Mizzery basher, but seriously do not take delight in these allegations. I would rather us beat them fair and square on the court. However, if proven, they will deserve everything they get. I am stunned at how Q the mighty eskimo would have allowed this. Broy, I sensed we had trouble when Lute ordered the traps over midcourt. It seemed to take us out of our offense and got AZ back in the game. No, they did not cause that many turnovers, but even the announcers said it was a reason for AZ getting back into it. Westballer, I said JF didn't play out of control, which he has in the past. I would not knock JF, he's vital to this team's success.

Reggie was great. Big thing is he's a go to guy. That was a clutch basket. My first thoughts; we played good D, had some trouble with their double teams (expect same from UC), and had not much of an inside game (who doesn't know that). JJ-very pleased. He could be the PF we've all drooled over. AJ-Love this kid Fish-seemed more in control of his game Sloan-got to love his fire Ohanon-Looks lost out there Varner-Same old same old Frericks-???, we can expect ups and downs. The free throws were very Brownesque. If Ian is an improvement over Frericks, JJ continues to improve, our front line play could be much improved come Feb/Mar. With the guards we put out there this could turn out good. Dare I say-----we could be dancing.

Having grown up in New England and attended SLU, I can tell you these two franchises are very similar as are their rabid fans. Both teams have a lot of regional appeal and devoted fans. They are equal. Mizzou #4, and #5 in the polls ....#1 or #2 in the sights of NCAA investigators.

If we leave their perimiter guys open, based on what I saw last night, we could lose by 40. These guys are lights out shooters. Another thing even though they are not tall, they are crashing 3 sometimes 4 guys on the boards. Hands are flailing all over the place knocking balls away, tie ups, etc. They look like they are playing with a seven man team. Good luck Bills this will be tough. Does anyone know if this is national on ESPN 2 or is this the fox game? I may get it here in the south.

last night in game against Ohio State. 3 star you're right they don't have an intimidating front line like last year. What they do have is a bunch of athletic types that get after the ball on missed shots or errant passes. Is an upset out of the question? Well anything's possible but highly unlikely. GT plays uptempo, swarms on D, and finds open men near the basket. Dickie V says their goal in every game is plus 40 deflections. They seemed well on their way to achieving it last night. Remember OSU was playing at home. We are going to have to be careful with the ball, aggressive on the boards, exceptional D, and mount some offense to stay close with these guys. By close I mean losing by less than 15. GT is a very very good team.

was last night's game. I thought we'd come out with a W after WVU lost to Northeastern and reading about them on CBS site. Aaaah well, I didn't have this as a win and had we lost to one of our cupcakes and won this, I'd still be sore about the loss. I'm not writing us out of the AZ game yet. Bigger upsets have happened but am still very concerned about our inside game. Lord, I have been a good boy, please let UB sign a 6'8" PF that can leap tall buildings and is faster than a speeding bullet.

I think the WVU game is a "critical" game. Ok, we've got the cupcakes, and they were cupcakes, out of the way. Now we face a BE school that while not considered a power is very similar to us. You see Charlotte go to 'Cuse and win and am sure the niner's are full of confidence. We need to get this feeling. I think the WVU game can give us some of that and will serve us well down the road. There are still a lot of questions to be answered about this team, a road win against a real Div 1 team would answer some of them.

This program sounds to be in the same stage we are. Their new coach got rid of a lot of players from the previous regime and has brought in his own kids. Schiffino(sp?), a 6'2" #3 guy is there major threat. Avg's over 20. Would imagine UB assigns Fish to him. They also have some kid who is 6'10" who shoots almost 50% from the three. Can anyone say Izik in Blue and Gold. They have a 6'11" guy in the post..a transfer. They don't seem to have a PF who is any real threat. Also, they are young. Sounds a lot like SLU in that they rely on their perimiter game to get points. Don't know what their defense is like. We should pull this out. Our D will win it for us though. Would definitely like to see an improvement in our 3 pt shooting. If this doesn't come about, I think we have problems ahead. SI projects them for an NIT team this year. Bottom line, a game between two rebuilding programs.

OK, you Pentagon types are all alike. Ask for a simple answer and you get a position report. Good report though, Taj Mahal '79. I totally agree with you on your analysis of each player and the team in toto. Hopefully, someone will step up to hit the three when needed. But you're absolutely correct when you say if the D don't do it, we're hurting. UB was left with a massive block of Swiss Cheese and I don't see the real turnaround until the 2005-06, or '06-07 season. God, I just pray he stays that long. If there is one thing that SLU has lacked in making it a winner year in year out is coaching continuity.

I maybe shooting from the hip here but looked at our 3 pt % against SS and found it pretty depressing. Didn't bother to check how we did against EK but I don't think it was too great either. Since our inside game is not expected to be what you'd call over productive, and IO maybe not what we thought, I think we're going to need some solid shooting behind the arc to win games. Granted, RB has not made it to the floor yet, and I don't know what is expected of his 3 pt shooting, but feel we need to start hitting at least in the 40% range to win games.
