Quality Is Job 1
...Lorenzo Romar, a former NBA player, wasn't able to translate that network into getting top-notch recruits into attending Saint Louis.
Billiken Law
Love had a chance and didn't stick. Potential and talent (especially if you find a niche like Hoiberg and fill an important role) win out over what school someone attended. I can name 3 Michigan State players (Andre Hutson, Charlie Bell and McDonald's AA Marcus Taylor) whom I thought could succeed in the NBA that haven't gotten as much of a chance that Love or Jeffers got despite MSU being one of the highest level programs in college hoops and each playing in 3 Final Fours. The only other program they could have gotten more exposure at is Duke. What's Miles Simon up to these days? FF MOP in 1997 from Arizona, he sure didn't stick around long either. Basketbill
Romar did some promoting of Mo and he was drafted last pick in the second round......I would think the Soderberg is the type of guy who would make some calls, but I do not know.
