Operation Billikens Bastogne

I. Situation

· A. Enemy Forces NC State Wolfpack

The Wolfpack from the Atlantic Coast Conference have the league’s Player of the Year, Warren as of late Turner has upped his scoring production. Intelligence reports state their game can be disrupted by a Defense in place focusing on their main effort Warren. Billikens should exploit Wolfpack fatigue from previous incursion and travel. The most likely course action for NCSU will be to take care of the ball and attack the basket from inside the arc. The most dangerous course of action includes Warren overcoming defensive efforts while other players attack the defense using accurate indirect fires.

Follow on enemy forces are expected but undetermined at this time perhaps the insurgent Jaspers but most likely the well-equipped Cardinals.

· B. Friendly Forces

1. Lawrence Biondi’s intent was to build a top 50 basketball program and raise the national awareness of Saint Louis University. Coach Majerus’ intent was to build a top ten ranked team in 5.

2. Billikens consist of 5 seniors which includes the current A10 player of the year. The team has won on effective defense and efficient offense. They are coached by the reigning National Coach of the Year. They are 2 time A10 regular season champions which is an RPI top 7 league this season consisting of 6 NCAA tournament teams.

II. Mission
No later than 1120 Zulu 20 MARCH 2014 Saint Louis Basketball will employ a defense in place and utilize efficient counter-attacks in order to destroy all hostile forces starting in the Mid-Western Bracket Area of Operations with possible follow on mission to the regional finals.

III. Execution

· A. Commander's Intent

1. Center of Gravity for the operation will include solid defensive effort initially on Warren but also on passing lanes denying him ammunition.

2. Critical Vulnerability is the trend toward turning the ball over. Limiting turn overs will be key to setting up good defense and offensive efficiency on counter-attacks.

3. Desired Endstate destruction of enemy will to fight with stifling defensive pressure.

· B. Concept of the Operations

1. Scheme of Maneuver starting 5 consisting of Evans, Jett, Loe, Barnett, McCall with key reserves Glaze, McBroom, Manning, Crawford, Lancona, Agbeko and Lancona. If necessary additional reinforcements are available including LePak, Eaglton, and Simpson.

2. Fire Support Plan: Primary indirect fires are authorized for McBroom, Loe, McCall and on order Jett and Barnett.

IV. Administration/Logistics

· A. Medical – Athletic trainers are authorized to provide aide to any enemy combatants injured by the stout Billiken Defense and Conklin-like fore arm shivers.

· B. Logistics – Billiken Athletic Department will provide all logistical support for uniforms, lodging, meals. Furthermore, support is expected for BillikenNation civilian populations.

V. Command and Control

· A. Signal initial coverage will take place on TNT. Follow on signal plan to be determined.
