She actually thought I'd be good to take over "Five Minutes," but she'd obviously forgotten about my hostile attitude toward local sacred cows and my well-known boorish behavior. Linda played a very strong role in persuading me to come to work here (in that she accepted her job right about the same time I was debating mine, and I've always had the highest respect for her and her work).
