pooch1918
I think he was the difference today. On the bench with 2 fouls in 1st half---we got creamed. He's on the floor first part of second half, we come back. He goes out with about 4 left and never comes back in. Why?
Bay Area Billiken
I think Evans was out at crunch time because of problems guarding Wells. And with both Kwamain and McCall struggling, playing from behind, SLU needed Cody Ellis' outside shooting. But I agree, I think Evans needs to be on the floor. Xavier and Wells, in particular, could not guard Evans. And Evans is great around the basket, at both ends, gets defensive rebounds, and scores off offensive rebounds. In the old days, guys didn't come out until they picked up their 3rd foul, not their second. I liked that old standard better. You can play with 2 fouls in the first half with proper discipline. I still remember Monroe Douglass being confined to the bench with 2 fouls for most of the first half of the NIT Championship Game at MSG in his last game for SLU. SLU_Nick
Dwayne MIGHT have been a little under the weather today. A couple of times he Asked to come out of the game bc of fatigue. I thought Jett was playing well enough to warrant the PT down the stretch.
