Randy Posted May 25, 2011 Share Posted May 25, 2011 They spent it - arena, bringing in big time coach, recruiting (notice how that has expanded to beyond the midwest...Ie- JM) Not to mention that much of that spending is in a time when the economy tanked, real-estate (which SLU has plenty of) has gone down...clearly times are tough even for the institution...they have spent the big bucks and now need to conserve whatever they have left until the can reap the benefits. Hopefully the 2011-12 season will be the end of the wait and mark the beginning of our emergence on a big scale (but winning cures all, and we have yet to do that) We spent it all 5 years ago? Recruiting has always expanded beyond the midwest there chief. Biondi gave us a brand new Corvette. Looks pretty on the outside, but when you open up the hood, we have a dodge neon engine.
