bart
It's interesting to wonder what high school kids like Cassity look for when they select a school. For instance, Michigan is a great academic school in Ann Arbor a great college town. On the other hand, basketball is absolutely an afterthought at Michigan. It's not just football. There is more interest in UM hockey (Red Berensen has been the head coach for years and they are typically nationally ranked).Tickets are typically readily available to home basketball games with a couple exceptoins like MSU and OSU. UM had a lousy record this year, were woeful in their 34 Point(?) "effort" in their final game of the year and really lost to some bad teams this year like Harvard. Does a kid think. wow I've got a chance to play for a Big 10 team pretty quickly given their talent level. or does he think, I would like to get on a team that has better talent so I have a chance to be on a winning program. combes
Two things. Michigan won't be down long. They have a history of being good, and their coach is a good one. Also, I have seen Cassity on mulitple occasions, and I don't think he would be the start of getting "better" talent for them.

What exactly is his game like? I know he plays outside, why wouldn't he be a good fit at Michigan?
shempie
Michigan has horrible facilities for bball. The coaches offices are a mile or so away and no practice facility in Crisler.
