Anybody got anything on post-Atlantic City? Post-Bruno? I am hearing that the A 10 might be putting it up for bid again as the two-year contract in AC expires. Of course, I am once again hearing the Ohio sites of Dayton and Cincinnati, which I don't particularly care for, especially putting it in a home court advantage situation like that at Dayton. Anybody got anything?

i havent heard anything, but it they wanted to stay in A-city, imo they should have changed the dates to run the previous sunday through weds. then they would not have conflicted with the weekends and the east coast weekend gamblers and the casinos and hotels would have been begging for the business.

the a-10 would have been able to set up cheap travel packages to make the event attractive to the three best attendance programs, dayton, xavier and saint louis. instead, since the travel alone is high to get there, and add in downtown premium prices for rooms for the weekend, the fan base at your three best programs dont show up with near the fans they would otherwise.

when i asked bruno about it, she said the majority of the conference did not want to put packages together because the individual programs wanted to use the a-city experience as a reward for their big boosters. i told brenda, i hope she was happy seeing that arena empty on national tv.

if they cant make it attractive for the western three schools, they indeed need to move it back to get the crowds. the east coast schools had their chance to make it a success and didnt.

You realize that means probably two sites ---- Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. US Bank Arena and the Civic Center. Neither X nor Duquesne play their home games there so that's at least a little better than YouDee Arena. I'm trying to ask that A10 group that came on here and pushed their web site but didn't see an area for discussion. Anybody else?
