There goes two more NIT bids lost to that "automatic" category to lesser conference regular season champs that lose in their conference tournaments. That brings the total to 8, which is exactly 25% of the entire NIT field. I know others disagree with me on this, but I think this new NIT rule is terrible, even more so now.
