Looks like Billikens lose out on another 08 player

I see Booker as a Randal Falker type of player, though I don't remember what Falker was like as a junior in high school.

This is Booker's first year of getting a lot of minutes for McCluer North, so he's still kind of raw and figuring things out.

He'll be a good fit in Carbondale, especially if they can redshirt him and build him up.

I agree with Torch on John's situation. I mentioned a couple days ago that Roundtree going to SIUC could help push John to SLU. But I don't know what other options John has at this point or who he is interested in.

"1. He is lucky if he is pushing 6'7

2. His hands are the size of a 6 foot man.

3. Despite decent athleticism (which will be average at the college level) he doesn't rebound all that well and is not an active shot blocker even at the HS level."

This is almost exactly what people said about Falkner coming out of Gateway Tech. The only description missing is that he wants a special engineering degree that SLU can't offer.

This is where SIU is in much better shape than SLU. SIU will more than likely red-shirt Booker and bulk him up like Falkner and then have a productive five year player. SLU needs help now so Booker probably wasn't a good fit for the Billikens. SIU has built a program and maintained a system while this staff has spent their 5+ years scramblig filling holes and having absolutely no recruiting philosophy whatsoever.

Not only that -- everything I've always guessed about "investment managers" turns out to be true. They con you, and when they've conned you once, they just con you again, because it's their

"day of reconning"

Do you really have a reason to doubt Lowery's judgement. He's in the top 25. What is he doing wrong? Booker will probably play more pf than sf. He will step out and shoot some threes like Shaw, but more than likely he'll be a face up player who takes slower bigs off the dribble. He'll be hard to contain. I dont think they redshirt him because they lose Falker and Shaw in 2008, but he could if some guys step up.

Nate if I remember correctly, a few MVC schools offered them as a trio, I know Illinois State for sure, and maybe Missouri State.

To be fair Brad offered a lot of 2008 guys early, Brandenburg, Suggs, Thompson, Roundtree, John, Perry, Swapshire
