Obi sorta-update: He should be back in town by Saturday. (Classes start Tuesday.) Whether he plays this season will depend on one grade that still isn’t final. Whether he returns to the team will depend on a meeting with Soderberg after he gets back. The fact that he is coming back to St. Louis, however, would point to the fact he wants to stay and he’ll agree to whatever Soderberg tells him he needs to do.

With SLU’s next win, Soderberg will tie Bob Polk as the sixth winningest coach in school history with 72. The standings go:

Eddie Hickey 211

Rich Grawer 159

Charlie Spoonhour 122

John Bennington 118

Mike Nyikos 95

Bob Polk 72

Brad Soderberg 71

Brad got to tie Polk with the Xavier win.
