Exactly why I think if they are going to expand get rid of the 16 seed play ins and put more P6 play ins. Let the little guys have their day, more eyes on the P6 games anyway! One other thing is that those 16 seeds to get a “unit” paid out to them for playing so that’s decently important dollars wise.

The fact that you’re even comparing the A-10 to the MVC means you’ve already lost. Strive to figure out how to get 6 teams in like the MWC, not argue against the MVC.

SLU officially left off the NIT bracket.

If you win your Auto Tourney you should not have to play a play in game. Let the 16 seeds have their Thurs/Fri game. Make the power conf teams play in, more TV eyes anyway. Going to need a strong bourbon to make the UVA play in game watchable.

I’d rather have a somewhat sure/experience thing than no experience. But I’m use to the ups and downs of being a SLU fan so I will accept fate.

Wade got busted for what is now legal, and is going to probably take McNeese to a Sweet 16. He knows he can do it one more time and he’ll land a massive P6 job. Unrealistic for SLU.

MWC was on. Yeah they got 6 in, but criminal seeding in some cases.

VCU is 1A to the Bonnie’s in my hatred meter. Semi 1 has been great though.

Moser and Majerus’ teams were built on kids who worked hard and had won in high school. They may have not been the leaders on their state championship teams but they were full of winners so they were use to it and were coached up well! I think you can still build teams that way but you just would probably need an NIL supplement for the one or two stars that any team would naturally have. Like a Krutwig in the Loyola years, or a Yuri, French for the SLU years. One other thing from my original point. People want to be associated with winners. If SLU rattles off a couple tourney appearances, the dollars will start to flow and flow back quickly.

Look at Loyola, which bc of winning has gone from the Horizon League to the A-10 and the increased revenue and exposure for the school in general that’s came with it. SLU had that in the past, and isn’t far behind from being at the top of their game. But just win. If you win and go deep in the tourney year in and year out. They’ll be fine. Side shot out to the A-10 conf commissioner who needs to get her head out of her ass and start getting her conferences teams to schedule harder non-cons.

I love that this is going to get done. This will link these two developing areas together and allow SLU students to take advantage of the Armory a bit easier. Of course Uber solves a lot of pains now. just hope the city and SLUPD ensure it’s a safe area at all times.
