  1. I saw you play in San Jose back in the day - stop talking.
  2. I played basketball with a guy at the student rec center yesterday who in 4 games touched the ball on every possession but one and passed the ball a total of ONE time. He was super talented, but that only goes so far. ML reminds me of that guy. Hope he can develop the weak areas of his game ie passing, teamwork, defense....
  3. Little dude would put Aaron Hines on skates.
  4. I did fail to mention that my grandma can hoop like nobody's business. Grandma Basler and JT would be one of the top backcourts in the nation.
  5. It took Majerus 7 years, you think Ford can do it in 3? Borderline blasphemy, but I wouldn't complain by any means.
  6. Until his senior season, when he was undoubtedly NBA ready. He's still NBA ready, and with Crews coaching we're talking different story. Under Ford, with Tatum, and the monkey-blind kid-grandma supporting cast he makes the tourney as a low seed. Ya'll are failing to mention the high probability of other players following suit after Tatum's theoretical commitment. It'd be a domino effect of high-caliber players, i.e. Tyler Cook? Possibilities, but the likelihood of Tatum signing and us having the same exact roster and incoming recruits as if he didn't is very low.
  7. "I hate to break it to you," bud, but Tatum would make the tournament with a blind kid, a monkey, and my two grandmothers.
  8. You're crazy if you don't think we were making the NCAA in that theoretical situation. *2014 and we were a Fab Five caliber team.
  9. Won't be making it but like in years past I am interested in buying a shirt if anyone has extras.
  10. When you're on the court - especially the free throw line - your job is to stay focused on the goal. Talking trash is cool and all but wait till after you shoot the free throw. You're not Michael Jordan, kid. Don't get too cocky at the line.
  11. 4:50 what's with that distraction? I don't like to see that. If he gets ruffled by a scarce high school crowd I'm worried what student sections will do to him.
  12. Just because the Blues can't handle the Rams overflow doesn't mean they'll be coming to us... And no optimism for next year? Yikes.
  13. @TheChosenOne @BigMouthBilliken another racist comment?
  14. Mizzou is a joke that gets funnier every day.
  15. Chris Bosh and Hassan Whiteside are both better players than Wade at this point, but that doesn't change the fact that they have a very weak back court. Goran Dragic can only get so much done on his own, they really need to work up a trade to get themselves a reliable shooter or scoring threat of any kind to round out their top 5.
  16. I'm praying he ends up playing significant minutes in a twin-towers rotation alongside Whiteside. Those two would be a force to reckon with in the paint, a Picasso-van Gogh duo. I don't think it is much of a stretch and would do wonders for his career. For everyone suggesting he play overseas, let's see you work in a foreign country with no friends or family, no knowledge of the language or culture, all while trying to raise a young child. Nobody wants to live in Israel, and if I have the choice between the NBA and a lesser salary vs. an undesirable foreign country and an insignificantly larger pay scale it's the NBA 10/10 times. Not to mention the opportunities that arise within the association for former players i.e. broadcasting, coaching staffs, etc. etc. Having any former Billiken in the league is something to be proud of, and to do anything besides hope and pray he makes it big is super petty. +1 to everyone mentioning the publicity advantages.
  17. I appreciate all the input. He really enjoyed his campus visit; "Blown away," in his words. He got to tour Chaifetz and even see the team working out, but only from the window view of the practice gym. His family has returned home already but I have them working on a better footage reel for me to get to the staff and I am also trying to get him in contact with Cody Ellis. I have met him on multiple occasions and am still friends on Facebook with him. I figure if I could get them in contact and Cody liked what he saw that would be a very good connection for him. He will also be filling out the questionnaire. Wish us luck.
  18. Cool guy. Really, cool. Well said, well done.
  19. If Willie got the chance to play alongside KD, SC, KT, DG, AI, and the gang, I guarantee two rings for Mr. Reed.
  20. A family friend of mine lives in Brisbane, Australia. He has played high-level select basketball over there for a few years now and has shown serious interest in playing college basketball here in the states - specifically at SLU. He is 16 years old, but as their school years are different from ours he is only a sophomore. He stands 6'6" with a lot of room to grow (size 14 shoe) and an impressive skill set that will only continue to develop. We all know SLU likes their foreign bigs and this kid is a Cody Ellis 2.0. Something to note: he will have about 6 months between graduating high school and the beginning of our American school year, so by the time we start OOC play he will be 19.5 years old and more physically mature than most freshman. He will be in town shortly and has a campus visit scheduled, however with the new coaching staff we have not been able to get in contact with anyone for him to meet the staff or the team. Anyone have any suggestions or inside connections that could help us out?
  21. He made some arguable points. You can make sense of them, but the likelihood is slim to none. He did his job though, it attracts attention. That's all the article is supposed to do. Reminds me of Skip Bayless - says the most ridiculous things, but all publicity is good publicity.
  22. Better question, how many collegiate players in recent years? Not just Sikeston high school, but the southeast Missouri area entirely. I feel like I'm always hearing of kids from around there in the middle of nowhere.
