  1. Brad would see 10 min or less with Avila. (If we get Josh and Avila) I’d get someone who could shot block and rebound. SVB would actually be perfect. Though, Bruce fits Josh’s system ideally
  2. I would not be suprised if he did leave. Likely strong season next year, but then loses damn near everyone... Thats a prime time for coaches to go if they do. With that said, the buyout we put into the contract is what will determaine if we sink or swim for the most part. Thats the key in this whole thing. If we can make 6m in one year, we can get a guy who is as good if not better to come in with that.
  3. I’m officially looking ahead to next years team and guys, we’re gonna be good if the starting 5 comes, Gibby returns, Thames and Larry and one big stay. Looks like a pretty improved team from what ISU was this year. Much much better at the 6-8 spot at least
  4. Shoot, we're supposed to be all about forgiving.. Give me Marshall all day too.
  5. Love your old school thought( I really don't mean that in a snarky way). For me though, we're not friends, you just coach a team I love. so win at all costs.
  6. And I'm not sure the players he has now would win him a ton of games next year in the ACC, they would in the A10. And once that core is gone, you do the same but with better players and so on until you get to the highest level. I just think that jump, plus with what you said, its a bad idea. Last, If he comes up and kills it the next year two years( very good chance) we could do better than Louisville. And better I mean a less hostile/pressure, but still the same caliber program.
  7. If he’s brining his starting 5, he would have a T25 team most of next year here. If he’s going to LVille, he has to get all new players.
  8. The idiot on the spaces said last night WW has had poor relationships with ADs and coaches at every school he’s been too,
  9. “Fine I’ll do the Louisville job”
  10. And shortly before saying Will Wade wasn't proven enough for the Lville job.
  11. I strongly feel that JS is waiting to coach out the post season because he knows he could bring a strong core here, which would minimize the need to portal right away. I also believe those same players would not be going with him to Louisville if that’s where JS goes.
  12. Louisville fans last night on a spaces said WW wasn’t proven enough, lol.
  13. I was going to tell you “get over it, it happened years ago”
  14. Mo state never made sense. In the interview with McCollum a while back that was posted here, the question was asked what schools needed to have for you to consider going to, and said they needed to be in position to win the conference. Mo state is far from that(although losing Schertz and Devries is a start).
  15. So like Frank, if Frank was a millionaire, cared about SLU, and others actually cared about anything he ever said
  16. Correct, and this seems...off. "O my god they said they would kill you? I think I'll go there then"
  17. GmU wasn’t all that great, so taking 5 to a harder conference would have been a nightmare for a coach to start off with. Opposite of this situation. Still agree that it’s hard to assume a number as high as 5, but they do seem loyal to JC based off of that ISU fans have been saying
  18. Holds offers from AZ st, Creighton, Illinois, Mississippi St, Pitt, TCU, and UNLV. Also found it interesting when surprised to see our lone commit not de-commit yet, 05 pointed out that he also held an offer from Schertz and ISU.
  19. Gotcha, knew he was close to them but just thought it was Nashville for some reason
  20. I thought he was living in Nashville? Would make sense if he was living in Tampa area
  21. He said originally Schertz was the front runner for SLU job. He then mentioned again that a deal was near complete. Then he said its would be announced after ISU season was over, then posted the smoke tweet.
  22. If you have the right person picking coaches, it's just fine. See VCU- Within the first 2 years after a coach leaves, they bring in someone and make the tourney + they made extra cash for the AD with the buyout. And it will happen with Odom next year. 2008–09 Anthony Grant 24–10 14–4 1st NCAA First Round 2009–10 Shaka Smart 27–9 11–7 5th CBI Champions 2010–11 Shaka Smart 28–12 12–6 4th NCAA Final Four 2011–12 Shaka Smart 29–7 15–3 2nd NCAA Third Round 2012–13 Shaka Smart 27–9 12–4 2nd NCAA Third Round 2013–14 Shaka Smart 26–9 12–4 2nd NCAA Second Round 2014–15 Shaka Smart 26–10 12–6 T-4th NCAA First Round 2015–16 Will Wade 25–11 14–4 T-1st NCAA Second Round 2016–17 Will Wade 26–9 14–4 2nd NCAA First Round 2017–18 Mike Rhoades 17–14 9–9 5th None 2018–19 Mike Rhoades 25–8 16–2 1st NCAA First Round 2019–20 Mike Rhoades 18-13 8–10 7th —[a] 2020–21 Mike Rhoades 19–7 10–4 4th NCAA First Round 2021–22 Mike Rhoades 22–10 14–4 2nd NIT Second Round 2022–23 Mike Rhoades 27–8 15–3 1st NCAA First Round 23-24 - NIT 24-25 Likely NCAA if Odom isn't picked up this summer - While Shake and Wade are outstanding coaches, Rhoades is eh, and Odom is another one we could have gotten with our resources.
