  1. I've been done. I'm just responding. I'm not the one that started a thread called "The Refs" and then another called "The Play." Did I ever mention Chafietz Arena or that I was an AP graduate? No I didn't. Chafietz Arena is a very nice facility that you guys should be proud of. And I never went to AP but I'm 28 and have lived in Clarksville (which is where AP is located) and gone to AP games all my life. And if we're such a joke of a school, what makes your school since you've lost to us not once, but twice? That really sucks, sorry buddy.
  2. No bigger than the dump you call St. Louis. Been to the Scottrade Center lately? Look in the dictionary under "dump" and you'll see Scottrade Center right next to it. And don't deny it either. I've been there the last 4 years to watch the Predators and Blues and its the biggest dump of an arena that I've ever been in (although its awful close to the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville).
  3. If I'm not mistaken, you are the one that first brought the issue up and I responded. Sorry you can't take the heat. It is. Its called a blocking foul. Agreed. So tell billikenfan05 that. Maybe he'll quit blaming your loss on the refs.
  4. Right before that picture (notice the refs hand is up) he pulled his jersey and in that picture he is also being forced out of bounds which is a foul. Again, I know it sucks that you lost to a OVC school and Austin Peay (again) and that he actually called it. I'm just as surprised as you guys were that he called it.
  5. And would this be the same ref that had a stare down contest with Loos in the second half and was just begging Loos to say something else so he could give him a technical? And of course it had an affect on the game. We won because they made a call with 4 seconds to go that is NEVER called. I'm not going to argue you that at all (as I've already stated in another thread). I'm sorry and I mean no disrespect at all but you are absolutely crazy if you think "75-80% of the calls went AP's way. That is a ignorant and a homer statement. Read some of your fellow posters on here where even they have said as well that the officiating was bad on both ends.
  6. An author thats horrible at blogging and everything else he does. Kinda like your PA announcer Guy Fillips....I mean Phillips
  7. I was just as surprised as all of you were when they called it. Was it a foul? Yes. Should it have been called? Yes. Is it called? No. Hardly ever do you see an official make that call unless a player is hammered under the basket or during a shot and even then, they still don't call it. From where I was sitting (which was about 6 rows from the AP bench and next to the two fan of the games that have been going to SLU games since '68 which I think is awesome), all I saw was the SLU player grabbing Edmonson's jersey. Which there was alot of that during the whole game and it was never called for either team. And when you do call it, there is 4 seconds to go in a tie ball game? I'm sorry, I'm glad we won, but on a normal basis IMO, you just don't call that. Only thing I could say was "Wow."
  8. Yes I watched the game and yes I am "bitching" about the officials. Even talking to some SLU fans after the game, they agreed with me that the officials we're, not bad, but horrible on BOTH sides. And if you are "bitching" about how the officiating cost you the game, then YOU don't know the rules of basketball. There were plenty of times when BOTH teams could have easily ran away with the game. Do yourself a favor and take off the blue and white glasses and look at my previous post to this one and you will read where I said the refs were horrible on both ends.
  9. Wow... Hope you didn't break your neck as you walked out with your head down.
  10. Not to add any fuel to the fire but I was at the game and the refs were absolutely horrible on both ends. AP fans have every right to be upset just as much as you guys do.
  11. Don't mean to be a smarta** but aren't all 3 point lines look like an arch?
  12. Thanks for the info everyone. I have actually been to The Good Pie and it was very good. Never been to Pappy's though so might have to check it out. Thanks again and I might be bias, but Let's Go Peay sounds a LOT better than "Go Nads."
  13. btw.. I've been to St. Louis plenty of times to watch the Predators and Blues, so I'm familiar with the downtown area. Are there any kind of restraunts near the arena and how close is the arena to downtown? Or is it in downtown? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  14. Wow, what are you smoking? Whatever it is, meet up with me at the game tonight because it must be some good stuff I'm with SLUDrew, I think it will be a close, low scoring game tonight. We have 6 players returning from last years team and 7 new players (4 Freshman and 3 Juco's). So it will be intresting to see how the newcomers will play in their first game. Hopefully history will repeat itself and the Govs come up on top against SLU again. But if one had to guess, I'm sure all of you hope that doesn't happen. Good luck tonight and here's to a good game! Let's Go Peay!
