Wish some of you could've seen Rodney Rogers from Durham, NC Hillside High School, Class of '90. Absolute beast of a high school player, 6'7, built like a linebacker with power, hops, explosiveness, and an excellent shooting touch. Built very much like Hasahn but with a more complete game. He was the savior of the Wake Forest program in the early '90s, but if he'd gone to Duke or Carolina, he would've been a household name. Wake gets lost in the shuffle in NC, and nationally for that matter. Saw him in a game against Chapel Hill High School and everyone was freaking out about what they were watching. Ran into the local news channel photographer at a convenience store after the game and we agreed that we couldn't believe what we'd just seen. Rodney had an excellent college career and some flashes in the league, but in high school he was a man-child just toying with the competition.

Likewise, I said, "Oh hell, please don't be bad news." Braced myself... and it was something good. Who knew? It's hard work being a Billiken fan.

Was glad to see the women take their 8 mins. seriously. What was up with the men's team jacking around for their time? Been to a number of midnight madness type events over the years at different schools and never seen a team use their scrimmage time goofing off.

Gym rat, heady player, fundamentally sound, coach on the floor? Who's got the scoop on Mr. Jimerson? Looks like a mid-major to me. Kind of an odd looking shot although his arm position and release are good. Kind of reminds me of Jake Barnett.

If you go back and listen to coach and Rammer on the KTRS interview from 8-21 you’ll hear how excited both he and Rammer were about Santos. Don’t kid yourselves, this is a big loss. Bad Billiken news two birthdays in a ro w for me. C’mon guys, straighten up and fly right, or at least wait until 9-26 to screw up.

I'll grant you he has good spin moves, but he never goes to his right. I understand there's dissension on the roster as his teammates consider him a black hole. Once he gets it it's never coming back. Kid needs more ball handling drills and who's coaching him? Someone needs to step up their game.

Does it count if the person has the initials JET? Knew a kid named Jeff Taylor, middle name Edward. His family nicknamed him Jet. Probably doesn’t count but it seemed cool at the time.

I was in Group 2, my son in group 1. Glad I didn't get caught for stupid crap, but it's not fun to see your otherwise intelligent child get busted for the same things. Kid was hitting in bad luck.

Davidson off to a solid start this year with a 91-61 victory over D-3 Guilford College. What are they doing starting so early? Checking on how many points for Grady and Jon Axel... Wait... that was the football score from last night? Would have like to have seen that.

Spoke highly of Isabel in the early part of the interview as a scorer and assist man. Expects him to have big scoring games, just not as many as at Drexel because he expects others to have big games as well.

Report I read says he's a very cerebral player who plays with great moxie, possesses a high hoop IQ w/ potential to be an outstanding glue guy. Can really shoot it although may have to speed up release.
