I nearly had a heart attack when ESPNU briefly cut away in the 2nd OT to cover the opening seconds of a women's game between Univ. of Wisc - Milwaukee and Univ. of Wisc - Green Bay. As much fun as that had to be, good call in not rushing the floor. It was actually kind of funny to watch people look at each other to see whether the other person would be the first to run out there.

Funny thing is that the Billikens are probably the ones that would benefit most from the expanded tourney. I don't want them to eek in as the 96th team - I'd rather see them earn it. When the Bills are dancin' again one day, it will be time for a road trip because it's such a major accomplishment. I wonder if the expanded 96 team tournament would be the end of the NIT?

Gotta give it to KC. Watching on channelsurfing.net, I often had a hard time distinguishing between shaggy haired Billiken #23 vs. shaggy haired Billiken #24. Had to check the box score to confirm. Thought it was interesting that Ellis took the shot at the end of regulation. He's pretty clearly becoming the go-to guy.

Herm Edwards would have been a better hire. I think he's a terrible football coach, but it would have been similar to the Carroll hiring and given Herm a chance to resurrect his career. You play to win the game...or, to be more precise, 6 games in 2 full seasons.

Loved the 4:00 start. It facilitated both pre- and post-game activities at the Annex and the Hump. Brought a buddy from out of town to his first Billikens game ever, and he was quite impressed with the 'Fetz. Highlight was davola giving the big screen an emphatic *bird*.
