  1. I am about to go fort hood on this cricut exression kit. CH 3 is supposed to be the BILLLS! I want my BILLLSS!!! no one cares about "fabulous projects in no time".
  2. anyone know what channel its on for SLU students (Charter cable, St. Louis)
  3. http://www.billikens.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18190 ---> better solution form new conference
  4. The solution isn't going to be a simple switch conference fix. What about a whole new conference all-together. There's a number of good to strong athletic programs in the midwest. All of them tag onto a random conference somewhere else where they don't fit well, either geographically or in terms of caliber. Why not collect all these displaced programs and unite them into one strong centrally located conference? Programs that would probably want in, and would be a good fit: SLU Drake Dayton Belmont Butler Xavier Missouri State Southern Illinois Memphis (would conference USA really be better? doubtful) Programs that would fit well, but may not want join: Northwestern (would have to go independent for football) Marquette (Big East might be a little bit too EAST for them) Cincinatti (Big East might be a little bit too BIG for them) DePaul (Big East might be a little bit too BIG and too EAST for them) Notre Dame (not as prestigious as the Big East, but it would make playing independent for football easier) Other programs to consider, but would we really want them? Murray State (Good Basketball program, but the school doesn't have the prestige) Wisconsin-Milwaukee (ditto)
  5. I think Jon Smith has made significant improvements to his game this year. He is starting to finally look comfortable out there. I like his quiet and hardworking attitude. Getting significant minutes I think has been a contributing factor, but I also think that he is finally catching up with his body. He came in and couldn't set a pic on a 5'10'' 150 pound point guard because he was so tall and thin. It looks like he has put on about 15 pounds of muscle - enough that he no longer has to where a white T under his uniform. I want him to develop into someone in between a 3 and a 4, he has the broad wingspan and similar build to Tayshaun Prince. If his athleticism and comfort level continue to rise he could be a solid contributer to the team. What are your predictions about him? Is there more to come or will he plateau here for a while?
  6. I think Majerus is anticipating some new spots opening up from injuries. Paul Eckerle, Jeff Reid, and Femi John are all very big question marks for next year because of injuries. If any of these players are injured next year, they can still keep the scholarship under certain conditions and we are still allowed to offer a new scholarship. I believe you can only have 13 scholarship players eligible to play for a season (but you could have 14 or 15 if 1 or 2 sit out the season due to injury) Does anyone know the specifics of these rules or where these rules can be found? Also, Rick might even be recruiting walk-ons. He likes to find players that are overlooked. A player that can't get a good D1 scholarship might choose to walk on at SLU. Richmond has 16 players on their roster, all can't have scholarships. Solid walk-ons are highly valuable to the team and deserve a fair level of recruiting energy.
  7. http://collegebasketballnews.scout.com/a.z...2%2F920741.html Kreuser pinned it down to Lafayette and SLU and picked Lafayette. I bet the only players to get scholarships are Evans, McCall, and Loe. I think Majerus is heavily recruiting some players who aren't on anyone else's radar who will play at SLU without an offer. Probably see some really good D3 (high school) players get looked at. They don't get the attention that D1 players get. Kwamain was a D3 player and probably would have had better offers available if he played at a D1 high school.
  8. Awesome game all around. Jon Smith had some solid play. JJ and Kwamain hit some nice 3's. We looked good all around. This was probably the best game of the season for us. Just when is Christian going to stop shooting such flat shots? He needs to put more arc in that deep shot. Tell him to make it look like the St. Louis arch.
  9. what's with the funny squeaking sound? and I am referring to the game feed, not a squirrel in a Christmas tree.
  10. I have been unable to watch the game from my computer I try to use the video link on slubillikens.com or the cbssports website and it opens a window to a blank page on cbs sports website. I was wondering if its because I need a special application since I have a Mac or if I need a subscription. Is there another website that I can use? Any other ideas? Thank you, Billiken Fan
  11. Alright everyone, you make the call: http://stltoday.mycapture.com/mycapture/en...ategoryID=38576 http://scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p...amp;nid=3798620 I didn't go to the game because I am out of town, but I went through the photos from the Post Dispatch and I thought that photo 18 may have a glimpse of what could be Bradley Beal in the background. High School Students were allowed to sit in the student section for $10 with a student ID. So, do you think it is the real Beal? Do you think he is just watching some college hoops or do you think he may be interested? He has verbally committed to Florida, but we all know verbal commitments don't mean much.
  12. do you have to pay for the all access package to get that video. It won't work for me. Is it because I have a Mac or because I need to purchase something?
  13. How did the student section look? Were there more SLU students this time? Did they let UMKC students in the student section?
  14. Looking forward, we all know that filling the student section on break is going to be a challenge in years to come since so many students live out of town. I was thinking about an alumni promotion. Perhaps offer student section tickets to alumni at the $10 rate. Each game could be designated for a certain decade of graduates. Ex: 1st game for graduates of '00-09 then second game for graduates of '90-'00 and so on. I would like to see more young alumni, and alumni in general at the games. It's great for everyone because its important for alumni to stayed connected to the university and fellow graduates. Do you think that an alumni event before the game like a dinner would complement the ticket deal or would that just be too much? Like a $25 dinner and ticket to the game. Who could turn that down? I realize alumni won't be able to provide the rowdiness and energy of a typical student section that is great for home games, but its better than opposing fans. Do you think this would work for all winter break games or should it be saved only for winter break games with regional opponents like Missouri State and UMKC? Anyone have any other alternative proposals? Share your thoughts.
