  1. Where the hell did these refs come from?? Seriously!!
  2. How many fast break points did we get? I don't recall any--Seemed like Portland had a lot of turnovers, but I don't have the stats in front of me
  3. When I was there, field hockey played out near Fenton. I covered some practices and games as a trainer--a lot of broken noses!
  4. I think when you consider two other teams that won their tournaments and lost the next game, we deserve to stay in top 25...but who knows
  5. Decent first half...could have been better, but we need to come out strong in 2nd half and dominate, win by 40+ and hopefully that can be enough to keep us in top 25
  6. I don't even see any comparison....poor shooting, terrible ball control, poor rebounding= recipe for a sh#### team...
  7. He must have a Portland education too if he thinks that....Or maybe he's just stupid. Either way, we should win this game by 40
  8. I can't believe Portland has won ANY games. These guys SUCK!
  9. We are starting to wake up. I am glad Portland sucks, cause this game should be closer.
  10. anything yet??? I still dont have a picture
  11. great win on the road tonight. great job men, way to send those pansies back to their dorm rooms. This will give the Bills some great momentum going into AC. Wow, what a game! 3 more wins to go!!
  12. Anyone find a feed for the dayton game on the web yet? it's not posted on channelsurfing yet, so I was wondering if anyone has found it yet? Let me know, I don't have direct tv, so I can't watch it on tv!! Thanks!
  13. I can see Conklin getting much better in the offseason. He has a great frame, he just needs some more work against skilled players. I think if he starts battling with some of the new guys this summer, watch out for him next year. It will be good for him to go up against CE, who is pretty light on his feet for 6'8", 240. BC just needs more confidence with his shot, and he will be a bigger influence next year when rickma calls his number. I want to see more rebounds like that from him these next few games though!!
  14. +1 completely agree. Didn't this just happen a few days ago on another thread. Seriously, either take it to PM or don't post. I don't want to read the back and forth on 5th and 6th time answers. If Posty is banned billiphan, the precedent has been set with Metz, and should be enforced here.
  15. I definitely think the Bills can make a run; however, I think it depends on what happens these next 2 games--both mentally and physically. Temple is obviously a great team and it will take a very focused team to get the "W", but very reachable. But, if the Bills lose, it will be the second loss at home in 3 games and can be frustrating, especially when they were 14-1 at home before the stretch and lost a close game to X. Then to travel to Dayton is difficult. I have been to a SLU V. Dayton game in Dayton and that is a TOUGH place to play--I don't care who you are. It is loud and they fit a lot of people in there--and It will be packed! I went to the game over X-mas break a while back and even though the it was "break", there was a large student section. I think when we win the Dayton game, it will really set the tone for the tourney and give a big morale boost to the guys. It has been a very exciting time to be a Billiken fan and I can't wait to catch these last 2 games on the internet and see our Bills play hard and win big.
  16. +1 (although it has been quite entertaining to read the back and forth banter)
  17. I guess I never really realized how close it was. I grew up in southwest Ohio--off of I-71. I never traveled to Pittsburg so I guess it is closer that I thought. I was thinking about the time to Cleveland, about 3-3.5 hours and to Philadelphia, about 9.5-10 hours. Went through Pitt once on a Greyhound, which I will never do again--they stop too much and take forever. I stand corrected, my apologies.
  18. I like Cleveland as a host site--easy flight, pretty central, and plenty to do. I think it would attract some that maybe couldn't shell out a bunch of bucks to stay in AC. The hotels are definitely cheaper, as are the activities. I would have to argue that Pitt is not 4 hours from Dayton and Cincy--at least 6-7 hours...I don't think that would be a good place though--probably a lot of big east fans vs. A-10 fans as opposed to a Cleveland State fan would probably like to watch a Xavier v. STJ/SLU/UD game. I am impressed with the attendance numbers---I'm sure it's X, YouDEE, and SLU in that order. I'd be interested to see how close we are to them though! Hopefully the numbers will be up next year along with a big name non-conference opponent. Maybe RM can get Utah to come in town--they had a good year this past year. That might be a good game--who knows, anything could happen---Isiah Thomas did go to FIU which says a lot!
  19. I'm glad to hear that was just a rumor. I would like to think that most kids in his place would stay in school for a couple more months to finish their 4 years. Congrats TLIII on a good 4 years of basketball and a degree to go with it---something a lot of kids at other schools can't say!!
  20. no game I've ever been to either. I've always seen the DH in college ball. Some coaches will bat pitchers though---cause some can hit unlike the majority in the majors.
  21. Having been around the athletic department and hanging out with Bobby during my 4 years at SLU I was surprised by his posts on this board. He was always nice to me and those around me, although he could get ill tempered on the baskeball court in the rec center at times (like most). But for the most part, I am surprised by his actions toward others. He is an enthusiastic Bills fan and I wish we had more younger fans like him at games, but his attitude toward Steve and others is immature and I hope for his sake he can learn to grow up and change his ways. I feel he could offer good opinions on this board and I hope others feel the same way. As far as being anonymous--I couldn't care if people knew who I was--I usually don"t have anything inappropriate to say, and if I feel like I do, I just keep it to myself--unlike some...ahem, Metz. Being fairly new to this board and to any message board, I guess I haven"t learned that some people troll just to stir up trouble--I don"t know why, but they do. But then you have guys like Metz who just can't control themselves--and that is all it is in his case, self-control.
  22. you are probably right and yes, that would be good. this thread has gotten way off topic!
