  1. wAS IT A BREAK AWAY LAYUP, IS THAT WHY THEY CALLED INTENTIONAL
  2. They have two that average 20 ppg, so they are both their top scorers.
  3. Previous post "Kevin Lisch B plus/ Although Kevin only shot 6-13 from the field I'll give him a pass as at least 4 of those shots were taken with the shot clock running down. He played 33 minutes with only 1 turnover. He kept the defense honest by penetrating and generally played with a clear mindset. He was the team's primary ball handler during the 2nd half and got others involved with 4 assists. He was clearly tired as he gave up an offensive rebound late in the 2nd half but he still went 3 for 3 at the line." I would have to say Kevin should have received an A. He gaurded their top scorer and only gave up 6 points to Harris. If Harris gets his average, WE LOSE. As well as Danny played today, the star of the game was Kevin. I also think Kevin's shot is back. His pull up jumpers in the lane are helping his confidence and extending his game. His jumpers he made off 2 out of bounds plays in the second half help push our lead to a comfortable margin and we never were in trouble after those buckets. We play so well at home, I wish we could fill the building. Each conference game at home has been a barn burner. We should finish up 5-4 giving us a 8-8 conference record, not sure what seed that will be, but we all know were going to have to win our turnament to get a chance at the dance.
  4. The Bills had the win against Temple last saturday. First off they were 7-0 when leading at half, 9-0 when having the lead with under 5 min to go. When I saw they had the lead by 1 with 4:59 on the clock, I thought there was no way they would lose. They should have lost. Where is the Lisch of yesterday. The one who could stone cold bury a jumper or make is own shot and drive to the hoop. Why the hell was Tommy passing the ball out beyond the 3 point line when he had a clear shot from inside the elbow. Finish Temple off, I was walking away shaking my head, wishing Tommie would have at least given us a chance to see the ball hit the rim. YES the Bills play good Defense, and they had not lost a game where they held the opponent to under 60 (besides the 49-20 waxing) but they need to learn to score when they want. Being up 4-3 on temple when temple could not score for 6 minutes is probably where they lost the game. They should have burried that team and been up 12-0 by the time they hit that 3. Back to the topic at hand. Was that last second shot a play. Why not run the play where look as a 10 footer from the base line which he shoots about 80 from. Run something, I am sure it wasn't the Liddell pass out to the 3 line. That play sucked. 2 OT games and 2 losses. They are competing at home and playing well, but we need the W's. The road is going to be difficult. Lets hope the Kevin of old returns soon. And that Liddell can contribue more then 2 points in the second half of future games to come. SHOOT THE BALL GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Your point on "writing a check" is valid. Money talks. No secrets are being disclosed. Many plans are under consideration but the most likely plan is one that will promote the concept of "Money Talks". Finding a way to maintain and increase donations by fans is important to all schools, and reseating is used at many schools to increase revenue. Another way to increase revenue which I find more distasteful is require minimum donation in addition to the cost of a seat. This approach works best for the school where ticket demand exceeds supply. If demand is low the donation amount (and revenue) is not great - e.g. Marquette. The opposite extreme is Illinois where 4 seats front and center cost (I am told) 10,000, as a donation. I personally find reseating a more fair approach for long-term fans. Is there a way we in the group could research how many different NCAA programs reseat their buildings every few years? To start the research, I know as a fact that UCONN reseats annually based on donor points.
  6. Not so fast Kshoe. You said "40 years" As I understand it, current Billiken Athletic Dept. officials have the following plan: After the initial seating of the new SLU arena based on Billiken Club points, every 4 or 5 years after that seating will be reshuffled -- meaning new seating for all based on "then" total Billiken Club points. kshoe wrote: "4) Presumably, after a long time and both parents have moved on (and SLU has become aware of this) child will have a fair number of Billiken Club points in his name and will be able to respectfully talk to the administration about transferring the seats to his name. A check to the BC may also be necessary at this time." Contrary to Kshoe's comments above, unless your contribution to the Billiken Club gives you a high priority, your legacy is meaningless. Your only hope is to give money to your parents so they can donate to the BC in their name and have your own name legally change to that of your Mother or Father.
  7. Lets think about this. Dayton or St. Joe. Yes St. Joe beat us bad on our home court, but you have to remember they started the game 7-7, from that point the Bills played them evenly. We had a horrible shooting day, played well defensively in the second half. Yes Dayton has beaten us 2 times and it would be hard to believe they could do it a 3rd. But hey, the Rams did it to Seattle 2 years ago (yes football). What concerns me about Dayton, is that it will be like a home game for them. I would assume with the proximity of Dayton, that they will have a good crowd. So, as long as the Bills can play tuff D and have some offense, I will take my chances against St. Joe. But from this point on, any team will be tuff, it's tournament time, even the Bills will be a team that teams won't want to play. After watching the Charlotte/GW game, just thinking we would probably need to beat both of those teams to win the tourny, WOW! I can't wait for the tourny to start. Did you see De'Angelo Alexander for Charlotte score 35, I guess my Heckling (THE HECKLER) at the Charlotte game worked, he only scored 18 against us. GO BILLS!
  8. We should have switched to a zone. I don't know why we don't have multiple defenses. Yes the Bills can play in your face defense, and when the other team is not hitting their shots from the outside, it works great. But in a game where the other team hits 11-19 from 3, you need to switch it up. If you notice the Bills never get too many good looks from 3 when the other team zones us. Also what other play could we have ran with 5.9 seconds left? Tyus Edny drove to the hope with less time then that. Isn't this how the last Dayton game ended, with Lisch taking the last 3, maybe he should have been a decoy? We still can get second, no time to feel blue. Charlotte has to go to GW to win, that should not happen, and the Bills play hard on the road, so head up, GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!
  9. What a game!I was fortunate enough to have been at the game Everything clicked. Only 8 tournovers, over 50% from the field, 60% from 3 land, Polk 1-1 on his only shot (HUGE), Coach Soderberg had an excellent game, he unvield the TWIN TOWERS..the Freshman are playing over their heads..this is exciting times for the Bills. The new Arena breaking ground soon... We need to come out on Wednesday and support the Bills. I am hoping we will have over 15,000 fans. Invite your friends, neighbors, bring your kids (all of them) lets load up the Savvis Center. Lets show Dayton what they showed us there. A very loud crowd, cheering through out the game. Funny thing happened to me at the Charlotte game. Showed up early to the game with the SLU Boosters, it was about 30 minutes before tip, SLU had just finished a shoot around, out came Charlotte to do their shoot around. I started yelling at Alexander for missing some shots, their assistant coach came over and asked me who I was with, I was confused why he would care I was joking around with one of his players during the shoot around, well security got invovled, the coach wanted me out, security settled for escorting me back to my seat. Walked by Earl and Rammer and got the thumbs up from Earl when I walked by. Thought it was all over, unitl the next day. They wrote about it in the Charlotte Observer. Here is the qoute "Charlotte Assistant coach Bobby Kummer was an intense player at the school in the mid 1990's, and he stayed that way. When a fan heckled (hense my name "The Heckler") Charlotte guard Mitchell Baldwin (the reporter got the wrong guy, it was De Angelo Alexander) from the front row as Baldwin (Alexander) warmed up 30 minutes before the game, Kummer wanted security to get him out of the building. He settled for havind the fan moved to his tickted seat on the other side of the court." To be honest, my heckling was no worse then "your 0 for 2, 0 for 3 you missed again. The game was intense, even 30 minutes before tip. Fun time. GO BILLS
