  1. Never been to brunch there (only for drinks a few years back). Will have to check it out. Rumor has it they are opening another location in the West Loop any day now.
  2. Sedgwick's (on Sedgwick just south of Armitage) is a Cardinals' bar. They had specials throughout the playoffs. Might be able to work the St. Louis connection.
  3. Blurb about Arends in the PD's season preview: http://prepsports.stltoday.com/ssi/prep/st...1B?OpenDocument
  4. Am I the only one who's not sure if the original post was intended to be taken seriously?
  5. Two $1m donations.... http://www.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=384015
  6. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/men...c10/stlouis.htm Seems more like an online team report than an article that might have appeared in the print version of the paper.
  7. 3 star, thanks for the insight. Do you think he is a good candidate for the "big man" scholarship?
  8. Nate or anyone else, what are your thoughts on Knollmeyer's game? Would he be a good fit for the scholarship we have earmarked for a big man (and, as a corollary, is he in the same class as the scholarship we have earmarked for a big?). Thanks in advance.
  9. These near misses against ranked teams are frustrating. 5-15 from the FT line is inexcusable.
  10. Agreed Schasz. Was this another "young team, on the road" loss?
  11. A-bomb, do you have audio? Just wondering if you can provide insight on the shot selection on our last possession. All yahoo says is missed 3 ptr by D. Brown.
  12. Context appreciated. Speaking of, I found the FT numbers in Yahoo's live box score. Team is 3/11; Liddell 1/4; Ian 1/5. Thankfully Lisch and Brown are hitting some treys.
  13. Thanks, yahoo isn't providing the FTM/FTA for some reason, just the percentage. Still, could turn out that 2 or 3 of those misses is the difference in the ballgame. Let's hope not.
  14. Yahoo box score says we're shooting 22% from the stripe. Yikes.
  15. Long time lurker, first time poster. Corporate attorney living in Chicago, but grew up in STL. Not a SLU alum, but began following the Billikens at a young age when my dad first took me to games to see Bonner and company.
