Even if that was the case, does that automatically mean wrongdoing? All accounts of Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Paulding say they're both good women.

As far as I know, they've had to pay it back over an extended amount of time, and it was a huge embarassment for Rickey especially, since he is very shy and is generally not much of a rule-breaker. It's a stupid NCAA rule anyhow.

RC apparently mentioned Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson. Everything i've ever heard before now would have led me to believe that if this did happen, it would have just happened with Ricky Clemons. I think that this is a horrible stain on two upstanding young guys- I've talked to both, and they both seem like excellent people. It's a shame that this stain on the program is enveloping those two. That said, feel free to poke fun all you want, and i'll be contented to take it like a man.

There'll be a pretty concret paper trail at the end of this one if check's were involved. It'll be interesting to see where this one goes, if it's proven (and it's not going to be hard if it happened) I fully expect a postseason ban.

That's not true at all either, I'm seeing quite a few (i've done the search because i got interested) and many of the people who post here also post there. Just give it up roy, more (much more) mention is made of Mizzou here than over at Tigerboard.

I think Thicks had a good quote on this in the tigerboard when someone posted something about SLU there: "If what was said on the SLU fans' board bothers you that much, why don't you debate with them there, rather than run back here like a sniveling snitch? This is a board where fans of many different programs come to debate, and you think nothing of seeing a fan of Oklahoma, Kansas, Kansas St., or Illinois come to the defense of their favorite program when Mizzou fans start dissing them here. Well, there are fans of other programs that post on Billikens.com who have no problem defending their programs there, so no one would kick you off the board and prevent you from posting (so long as you don't use profanity, make threats, etc. -- I'm one of the moderators there) if you went to express your dissenting sentiments. You certainly wouldn't be the first Missouri fan to take up the battle there. No, you wouldn't be popular among SLU fans -- but tough! -- but I, personally, would respect you more if you approached it that way rather than keep silent and run back here. I think some other SLU posters would also respect you more for doing that."

Never said there weren't, but like i said, they're few and far between. Most of the SLU posts are about pulley (which doesn't seem too outrageous to me) and many of them are in fact very positive about slu. THAT is the key difference. You're just spinning facts, which i believe you accused me of doing. Do you want me to ask you to apologize to the board? Because if you don't, "you don't exist."

No, your comment was "we sit and admire pot shots taken at slu on other boards." My comment was that those are few and far between, whereas here it's almost every other post. I think i've done a good job proving my point. I've never seen anything pro-mizzou here, but I seem to see plenty pro-slu stuff. And actually, a lot of those threads were started by southendzone, who is a SLU guy.

Looking at most of those, they're mostly mentioning the pulley connection. I see one or two demeaning posts, but just because they mention slu doesn't mean they're taking "pot shots."

Please give me a link, and I will believe you. As it stands, i never run into slu trashing on tigerboard.

This is silly. Roy, I know you're a grown man. Are you honestly going to act so childish? Someone posts something regarding Mizzou, I respond to it, and then you get pissed off and tell me off. This isn't a matter of a "mizzou fan being obsessed with slu." It's a matter of me being not only a fan of slu, but a friend of steve. I'm allowed to post on this board just as much as you are. Don't be elitist, I'm not trying to start a fight with you.

My comments are hardly inflammatory. If anything you, roy, have been very inflammatory towards me. I'm merely replying to comments regarding my school. And you'll notice I didn't make any comments on the T-Shirt thread, and it went mizzou-crazy on its own. Don't blame the mizzou on this board on me, every day at least one mizzou thread is made by someone (not me.)

Figured that was what the "UMAC" was, I thought the "SP" was just to make it sound like "spew."
