  1. Just pointing out the obvious. Many people on this board seem very concerned about SLU's image. Very Classy on National TV!
  2. SLU is sure to make sportscenter with that game, to top it off I bet the clip they show is the clip of the classy SLU fan throwing a basketball at an Arizona player just as he is getting ready to shoot critical free throws. Again very classy! Way to represent on national TV.
  3. Wow you sure make a good point about how much better academically Slu is than Mizzou. It appears from these stats that Mizzou should be compared with junior colleges while SLU is clearly in the Ivy League! SLU Stats Average income ACT Score = 26.0 Freshman-to-Sophomore retention ratio = 87% 95 degree programs No. 78 on US News Best Colleges Tuition = 20,800 Mizzou Stats Average income ACT Score = 25.5 Freshman-to-Sophomore retention ratio = 84% 250 degree programs No. 73 on US News Best Colleges Tuition = 5,552 MU leads the Big 12 Conference with a 72 percent student-athlete graduation rate MU #4/#5 2-0 SLU NR/NR 3-2

  5. This is the Tigers first opponent; it comes against a good team on their court. The Tigers elected not to play five exhibition games to open the season. The Tigers character-building win will undoubtedly pay dividends come March and April. After numerous teams faltered this week in early season road games the Tigers found a way to win. If everyone stays healthy this team could be scary good in a few months when everyone is playing. For their efforts the Tigers will likely earn a number 2 or 3 ranking in next weeks polls.
  6. Wow you are right on. It is much better to schedule JV Division 1 teams. I am sure the experience and RPI points that SLU will recieve from playing the likes of SS and A&T will push SLU over the top come March. Without these challenging early season games there is no way SLU could expect a RPI high enough to get into the NIT.
