  1. Great work and knowledge Torch on your historian work and evaluations, Triangle did not have Frericks or Campbell on Too's list. You did admit that there are "stars" out there (in our Billiken history) and that they can be used as "stop gaps". Jucos are used for freshman too develope and too fill voids as Too posted but they have been ignored in order too recruit multiple 4 year players who are really hurting this team and who are regressing in their developement (Coach Majerus's recruiting evaluations?). Jucos are available every year but Coach Majerus seems too think that if a player does not make the grades in high school, screw it. Again, good work Torch! so it goes.
  2. For all of you long time posters, you all know Triangle's thirst for juco players, you need at least 1 on every year's roster. Big strong jucos - pounding the boards, quick swing men jucos able too sneak inside for a rebound but also able too hit the 12 -15ft jumper and also quick juco guards that are able too swoop too the hoop. They just fill an inevitable void that may be necessary through injury or poor play on a team during the season. Jesse Perry who played for Gateway and is now playing for the University of Arizona (out of John A. Logan JC in Carterville, Ill) was a player that Coach Majerus wanted, but grades and off too juco and evidently forgotten? On our Billiken team Jesse would be a star even with Mitchell and Reed. 6'7, quick as a cat and a nose for the ball - no more Conklin, Ellis or whatever - a 3 inch taller Evans who is already developed. Not a good shooter at this point in the season but is learning a role with the Wildcats but has no fear in the lane. Is there a problem with Coach Majerus recruiting a juco, we have had some in the past - Billiken Quiz - who? so it goes.
  3. Hell, at this point Triangle would even take Bryce Husek.
  4. Veterans vs. Our Billikens. Poor inside defense, MO St. shot 60% in the 1st and 68% in the 2nd - Weems 26pts, Creekmore 20 pts. We have NO inside defense or defense when inside players take it too the outside. Rebounding -11. Our guards continue to improve and be the backbone of this team - Jett 18, Cassity 11, and McCall 11 and only 7 turnovers. Triangle will not even begin too wail on certain players, we all know who these guys are - just horrible. Cancun is now the key in getting ready for the A-10 season. The warmth, the sun, the beach and the beautiful women - yes, the beautiful women (thank God certain players are not now with our Billiken team). Beat Northeastern!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it goes.
  5. This thread is a friggin joke. Kyle Cassity in the NBA?- give Too a break. Does anyone on this board watch NBA basketball? Kyle will be a hell of a lot more successful in the business world than he will ever be in the world of basketball. See Scott Highmark. so it goes
  6. Whoever this guy is as governor, this will be the most important stretch of games for our Billikens leading intoo the A-10 season. Yes the Mo St. game is important and a road game is important but the Cancun games will show that our Billikens have resiliency, intensity and a court presence and identity in a short amount of game time. Our Billikens showed resilency and intensity in the second half of the Jacksonville game. The first half was rust and a waste. The second half was all about what our Billikens are capable of doing with vast coaching experience and vast effort. The 3 freshman of Mike McCall, Dwayne Evans and Jordair Jett are the most quickest players that Triangle has ever seen on a Billikens basketball court at the same time, AND THEY ARE FRESHMEN! They will make those freshman mistakes but hell, they have no memory of those mistakes, they just keep going and going and going (marketing possibility? The EveryGame Billikids). As Triangle has lectured before, the lane was and will be the key for our season, getting the ball intoo the lane on the offense by our key foul shooters. Our Billikens outscored Jacksonville by 8 on the line. McCall, Cassity, and even Loe, get these guys too the line, games are won! Even Cody Ellis chipped in 3 for 4 from the line from being fouled inside. Our Billiken 3 pt shooting from "the down under" players is still atrocious but the underneath play improved and the fact that Chris Salecich's playing time is starting too diminish and he did not take a shot is encouraging, now being a defensive player only. Our Billikens have started Triangle Too think - is McCall better than Mitchell was his freshman season, is Jett? Evans as a small forward swing player, better than Cassity as a freshman? This is a great class and will only improve - will the return of Mitchell and Reed possibly upset our Billiken applecart in player devlopement? Stay tooned for Triangle's opinion. so it goes.
  7. Sorry, Bad spelling mistake - Charitible, no, Charitabale, no Charitable - that's it so it goes.
  8. Triangle knows that money is tight and maybe this is not a proper forum too ask for this, but, this is the Christmas Season, so it goes. This is a donation suggestion for an investment in our country and the men, women and families that sacrifice so much too make sure that we are all still here tooday, in the USA. As a veteran, Triangle remembers how much the USO meant, traveling around, just a warm cup of coffee, a donut, a care package once in awhile and a warm friendly face and hug. These things probably don't mean so much to people in our everday lives, but too the people that preserve our independence and our American way of life, they do. Again, Triangle apologizes that this may not be the proper forum and Too is sure that you all have your charities that you give too, but please consider. so it goes. https://www.uso.org/donate/
  9. ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! Box and Won has put a restriction on the number of posts by any registered poster. Steve and Davidnark you have now been informed. so it goes.
  10. Triangle is trooly sorry for bringing up a topic that you 2 cannot understand. There is a new "dynamic" now in this discussion. Our Billikens now have an arena that they can schedule any night of the week. They both have their own arenas, there is no reason for any other "entities" to become involved. Mizzou played in a half empty arena on this Saturday afernoon against who? Of course our Billikens play in a half empty arena pretty much all the time. This is a money maker for both schools. Is Mizzou fearful that Billiken fans will not support their team and drive 110 miles and bring a much bigger gate than who they played tooday? Hell, our Billikens played Duke tooday, Mizzou played Georgetown and Vanderbilt. It is time for people too put the preasure on and put petty differences aside. Triangle just doesn't understand it, doesn't understand the animosity and especially the AD's attitude towards this subject. Wisconsin vs. Marquette - 117 years - one year here, one year there. so it goes
  11. Triangle was watching the Wisconsin vs Marquette game this afternoon, just a great game, trooly terrific. The announcer said that this was the 117th meeting between the 2 teams (that's right 117!). What was the first question that popped intoo Triangle's mind? That's right. What in the hell is the problem with SLU and Mizzou -administration, coaches, ego mainiatics - it is not like everyone recruits in the same areas. Coach Majerus has stated on numerous occasions that he has tried too schedule "A" game - is that his hope? Is Chris May on board? We need too hear more from Chris May on this subject. We also need too hear more from KMOX when they interview Mizzou's AD and Coach and insert this topic intoo their interviews. Who's scared - schedule Georgetown and Vanderbilt - but not our Billikens - give Too a break. Weigh In - so it goes
  12. Didn't Triangle apologize for that? Although with Too's vast experience in profanity, Triangle didn't realize that "*******" in the use that Too meant it was profane, (although the ole lady has a different opinion in the use of the word in relationship too her). so it goes.
  13. Hey good post George W. Bush. Evidently you think that the lesser amount of money you make negates the right too talk about your opinion on the state of our Billikens. Triangle believes that the freedom of speech and the reaction too that right of the freedom of speech is an essential not only on Billikens.com but too the entire American framework. Triangle does not know where the "overwieght" comment came from, maybe it was just an off the wall remark and/or insult, or maybe there are issues with you and/or your family or friends in this area, whatever. If you do not believe in the opinions on this board then so be it, If you don't believe in the freedom of speech then move too North Korea, Cuba, Somalia, The Sudan, China, etc. so it goes.
  14. Sorry that Triangle offended some people on this board - maybe "WIMPS" would have been a better choice. so it goes.
  15. There are a lot of different types of fans that have different reasons for attending and spending good bucks on sporting events. Here are Triangle's priorities. 1. Fan of the sport in general. Whether it be basketball, baseball, football, hockey or whatever. If you are a fan of the sport, you will be there in accordance too your economic situation. 2. Fan of a particular team - same goes. 3. Fan of a particular player or for a night out - same goes. If you are a #1, you will be there because it quenches your thirst for the sport, regardless. If you are a #2, you will probably only be there in the good times or the promise of good times. If you a #3, well, when that player leaves and you find some other form of entertainment, so be it. Here is a point. Triangle has talked too many Cardinal season ticket holders about the Albert Pujhols situation. Many have said that they will give up their season tickets if Albert is not signed. Many arguments - see above. so it goes
  16. Ellis, .304 - Salecich, .o83 - Loe, .318 - from 3pt. land. Triangle bets that Too could get on a plane toonight (no, probably toomorrow), fly too the down under and find a trained wallaby (or some other macropod)in a traveling aboriginal circus that could shoot better than these guys. It's just unbelievable how bad these supposedly 3pt shooters are. The 3pt shot is probably the most unguarded shot in basketball - why? - because it is the lowest percentage shot (except for dunks and free throws). Too's analysis is this - these guys are *******. They come over too America on a free ride (more stringent immgration laws?), free education, free USA exposure and expect too just hang around that ole 3pt line and knock down shots. Evidently these players had no idea what is required too play American basketball - there is a lot of hanging and banging - there is a lot of soaring too the boards, inside positioning - it is survival of the fittest! In A-10 basketball, why even guard these guys? Sure, once in awhile a blind wallaby finds an easy basket underneath, but they are few and far between. Triangle nows calls for a complete moratorium for Coach Majerus and his staff on recruiting from countries that summer is winter and winter is summer. There are plenty of basketball players in the US of A. These players are only averaging about 20 minutes a game (roughly), only half a game and for what? so it goes.
  17. Because Triangle does not listen too sports talk radio, Too can only refer too the above quotes in this thread. In the question that Cody Ellis was not on the same page as Coach Majerus would have been a legitmate question, but too make it a "2 way question" including in the question that Coach Majerus is not on the same page as Cody Ellis is ludicrous. Cody Ellis's "page" is pretty much blank, Coach Majerus's "book" has a long history and is far from being finished. Too knows (as we all do) that Coach Majerus is an extremely intelligent, focussed and complicated coach, and by this time, interviewers should know this point. For Ramsey too include in the question that Coach Majerus was not on the same "page" as Cody Ellis was ridiculous. Coach Majerus picks up on things like this and Triangle really thinks that he came too the conclusion that "that's a pretty stupid question", and then downhill. Remember that Coach Majerus benched Willie Reed Jr. for a game because of a "hearing problem" last season. so it goes.
  18. T’was these nights before Duke and all through the house, Not a creature is stirring, not even our Billiken’s mouse. Our Billikens will show too the best of our ability, but we will be defeated in extraordinary futility. Our players will play as hard as their intensity, but there is no answer for the Blue Devil’s diversity. The lesson will be learned and our coaches will teach, the A-10 championship can be in our reach! So it goes.
  19. Dear Mr. Pelican, this tidbit of Too's vast experience in life is by no means meant too be humorous. It is fact! Life is never about how it SEEMS too be, (Did Too just end a sentence in a prepositional phrase?). "Goes" is a very forward thinking word and that is what we should always be thinking about in our lives. so it GOES.
  20. Thank you Major Majerus - it's good too be back so it goes.
  21. Thank you for your comments Mr. Pelican but Too and Triangle have very multiple personalities. There is the obtuse triangle, the equilateral triangle, and of course when Too was a baby, the aCute triangle. It is not how it seems - but how it goes. so it goes.
  22. Thank you for your reply Mr. Pirahna, a very meat off the bones reply. Triangle has a tendency, a very purposeful tendency, too explain Tooself in a very clear manner. Too does not believe in text message crap, abbreviation crap or whatever. People need too express their opinions in a compositional format. People need too enter their comments on the internet the same way they would express themselves if they were talking too an actual human being - face too face. THX (abbreviation?) so it goes.
