billiken_roy
i wouldnt go as far as say we were dominated saturday. they physcially pushed us around, but we were in that game until the last few minutes. a few free throws or a couple of breaks and that game could have easily went our way. RealisticBilliken
My point was that SIU was in control the entire game. Never once did I feel we had a shot at winning that game, even when we got up early in the 2nd half. Luke Meyer played well but he still misses his token lay-ups. former_d1
Drew Diener could dunk. Hell, I can dunk. I take a player that can hit the 12 foot pull jumper over one that can just dunk any day.
TheRaginCajun
Agree Roy. SIU beat us, but by no means were we dominated by the Salukis. It was a close game that would have been closer had we made our free throws. Heck, it was a game we could have won if not for Luke being the only guy with a pair out there for us. Missed free throws and being dominated on the glass were what I would call the reason for this loss.
RealisticBilliken
We lost by by 9 and didn't come within 5 the whole second half if I remember correctly. We couldn't rebound, make FT's, etc. Nothing during that game gave me the feeling that we may all of a sudden break out of our funk.
billiken_roy
liddell hit a 3 to bring us within 4 and i think we were at 5 a few times thereafter.
Gus Chiggins
He looks to me like he is suffering from depression. He reminds me of Eeyore moping around... if Eeyore was 6'10".
