Major Majerus Posted October 14, 2003 Share Posted October 14, 2003 To play devil's advocate - there has been some discussion on this board that we might be desperate (none of it initiated by me - I'm on record as saying that we will land on our feet and not to worry) because the CUSA is imploding and we don't see the Valley as a viable alternative. We're worried that the dominoes might fall in such a way that we would be left out of a desirable choice. You would have to agree that there have been several threads with that tone. Also, I think he used the term "gadfly" correctly - that is, on this board, we have been persistently critical of the Valley relative to our vision of ourselves as belonging to an upper crust of college hoops.
