codolan
Looks like the BE will stick together through the 2013-14 season with a new ESPN deal that will give them more $ and more games (adding a Thursday game in addition to Big Monday). The deal includes football on both ESPN and ABC. I can't wait for a Cincy/Rutgers Saturday game on ABC (puke!)
billiken_roy
it is hard to say without knowing the details of the deal and how they split revenue exactly to know if that keeps the 16 headed monster together or in fact drives strategic wedges that might actually lead to attrition. plus, keep in mind, if another league could come along and raid the conference that also would shake things up. i say wait 4-5 years and see where things stand. TheGoat
Yeah, dont be surprised if some conference throws a big wad of cash at a BE school and watch them bolt like they stole somethin!
Billiken Law
like who and to where? Best hoops conference in the country (why leave that) and a watered down BCS football conference where any school that would be attractive to another conference will be able to be an annual contender. Give it up folks, the Big East is here to stay for quite a while.
