TheBand Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Wildcats add football player to depleted roster Dec. 4, 2003 SportsLine.com wire reports TUCSON, Ariz. -- Ryan O'Hara, the third-string quarterback for the Arizona football program, was added to the seventh-ranked Wildcats' basketball roster Thursday. Forward Isaiah Fox had knee surgery Tuesday and he will miss at least three months. Coach Lute Olson is considering asking for a medical redshirt year for him. O'Hara, a 6-foot-6 freshman, began the football season battling Nic Costa and Kris Heavner to start at quarterback, but was a third-stringer by season's end. He will play forward in basketball. "We've got to get him into basketball shape, but he will be nice addition to our scout team," Olson said. "Ryan was a solid player in high school." O'Hara earned four basketball letters in high school, although he played sparingly as a senior at Pasadena (Calif.) Muir High after hurting his knee during the football season. Quote
davidnark Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 I believe he was a high school teammate of Ryan Hollins. Quote
