sluguest
For everyone that thought that Greg Lackey was a bad recruiter while at SLU you might want to take a look at the Sun Belt Conference Finals on Tuesday night on ESPN2 at 8:00pm. It looks like Denver University who Greg Lackey worked for until October recruited the kind of athletes and players that we would like to have had. A 6'10" athletic center, 6'7 power forward and a swing man 6'6" plus very good guards. For those of you who are going to say that Lackey was responsible for recruiting the whole time he was at SLU would be wrong. The first 2 years he was in the restricted earnings position at the time and was not allowed to go off campus or recruit. He was directly responsible for guys such as Mo Jeffers, Marquee Perry, Justin Love. Most would agree that these guys were some of the most athletic and productive Billikens during their careers. tseugnekillib
Thanks for the update Greg......just kidding. Greg was a good guy off the court, but I thought his true personality was held in-check a bit by Spoon.
kevinfootes
he wouldn't be struggling with lower-tier programs and currently out of work. The Sunbelt isn't exactly the ACC either. Let's see how those kids stand up to better competition. Lackey may be a good guy, but good coaches and recruiters find their way to good programs. cheeseman
Getting 3 good players over a 6 year period is not all that stellar.
