billiken class of 15
We trounced #9 Butler, 75-58. Storming the court that night remains one of my favorite memories of all time. This topic isn't necessarily to dwell upon how far we've fallen since then (though that will undoubtedly happen), but simply to recall a great night in Billiken basketball history. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/billikens-blast-no-butler/article_5fe19817-4c00-535e-8442-9cab045e5cbb.html
Bay Area Billiken
We trounced #9 Butler, 75-58. Storming the court that night remains one of my favorite memories of all time. This topic isn't necessarily to dwell upon how far we've fallen since then (though that will undoubtedly happen), but simply to recall a great night in Billiken basketball history. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/slu/billikens-blast-no-butler/article_5fe19817-4c00-535e-8442-9cab045e5cbb.html I was at this trouncing of Butler and the next game, a total home court domination of Dayton. This was during the height of the Big East's search for new teams. With me was my SLU roommate, both of us being Ekker Era survivors. At one point I turned to him and asked, "... Do you believe this?" His response was a simple, "No." But it shows where this program was, and where it could be again ... Recall, that SLU defeated Butler 3 times that season. It is no easy feat to beat any team 3 times.
