In my opinion, Willie is a sweater and slacks (semi-formal). He isn't a tuxedo. Yeah, I think the tourney was possible with both..but far from a certainty. Other teams improve too. Other teams deal with injuries too. I guess I have a sour taste from some narrow wins last year, like UMKC, and to a degree St. Ambrose and Rockhurst...scoring 36 at Richmond, losing to Bowling Green. I thought we were fortunate last year, to some degree...and a repeat of the record was not a given. That said, we were younger than young last year so a smooth ride wasn't to be expected.
