slu72 Posted March 17, 2007 Share Posted March 17, 2007 Listneing to the local sports show, you wouldn't believe the calls for the Gamecocks to fire Dave Odom and hire Gary Marshall of Winthrop. SC is in a similar situation to SLU, despite Odom at least having a couple of nice NIT's runs. But not good enough for Gamecock fans. The host of one show was saying "ain't gonna happen, they just extended him." Same kind of deal we have with UB. Then one guy came on claiming to be a big time donor and insider. He said right now Odom is feeling pressure to resign and take a post inside the athletic department, clearing the way for the University to hire Marshall.
