Wade still has 1 more year on his show clause. SLU’s AD is notoriously risk adverse and we are definitely not as desperate as DePaul. There’s a reason why most programs won’t touch Wade until next year. Also, we shouldn’t be looking for the next “Mark Few” because he’s a very unique outlier. I would be happy to find our own “Randy Bennett” but we need to be realistic.

Curious how the student tickets factor into this. When I was there 2011-2015 you typically had to go in advance as a student to get a ticket for many games. For less in-demand and then basically all 2014-2015 season you could just walk in and flash your ID. In any event, there’s a certain number of tickets allocated for students and it wouldn’t surprise me if they include them in the attendance numbers regardless of whether the students show up or not.

If you’re referring to when Parker set that pick and body checked the guy, I’m shocked he didn’t get called for that. You could hear it and even the announcers commented on it. Interesting watching him last night. He was incredibly frustrated-whether it was the dukes defense, shots not falling or something else-but Parker basically took himself out of the game.

If he isn’t able to take wide open 3s he doesn’t really serve much of a purpose on offense. There’s not much else he can do. Can barely bring the ball up the floor.
