Basically talking about how physical the game will be, many fouls and tough D on both sides.
He also said it’s the biggest, toughest, most talented SLU team he’s seen in 6 years, saying “they’re a Big 10 team.”
Towel me
Littlebill and VeniceMenace like this -
This team knows how to not lose. Remember we only lost 1 game due to benching Tremaine and Dion out the entire 2nd half
-
Easy money

We are a great defensive team but Butler is also ranked on kenpom right by us in defense
-
Butler is 30 on kenpom still while we are sitting at 72. I am not too worried about Houston. Butler did not seem like a top 30 team today, due in my opinion to our underated defense
-
Again the best part about our team is our depth in our scorers.
If you were studying the Bills to play against them you might think to try to shut out Bess, however he simply just scores so much because he has excellent shot selection and effeciency, rather than taking risky shots. But players like Wiley, Goodwin, French, Foreman and Isabell can put up 20 point games. Hard to scout honestly
Butler was defeated as soon as they benched their scorer after 3 fouls

Rank us cowards (blue)

Dayton up on top 25 miss state

I don’t think enemy teams can pick a guy to single out because 6 men can go off anytime

We played in an NCAA Tournament that year.

This team hasn’t played in a big crowd yet this entire season, but as soon as they see the city show up for Butler on Saturday they will play their greatest game ever.
We beat a far better team on the road after travel mishaps and sleep deprivation and lost to an underated Pitt team who barely lost to a top 15 team.
We had a week to work on our offense and rest our injuries.
This will be the most exciting game since vcu in 2014 (2013)?
-
Slu having its first almost sold out game at home after a week of recovery and working on offense seems like a recipient for a victory. The team will play their hardest game of the year for sure. Seems like easy money

I think your probably right I want to see how Pitt plays in the ACC
Probably not amazing but I’ve read their fans comments and they’re really high on their new coach. I don’t believe they will finish last as predicted
-
Well Pitt barely looses to 14 Iowa. I guess it won’t turn out to be a bad loss
-
Nate Silver wrote a nice article ripping apart the “horrible” NET rankings
-
Pitt plays 14 Iowa today. If they win and overcome the 11 point under line it would show they are a sleeper. Would be great if they remained undefeated for us
-
Would Yuri or Jacobs play more next year?

So which one is it? No doubt we’d be ranked or possibly we’d be ranked? Either way, you’re wrong.
We were one of the last teams receiving votes. A win over Pitt (even a “solid” one) plus a double digit win over Cental Ark would not have made SLU leap frog the other 15 or so teams in front of us.
I think we lucked out with no losses since we weren’t in a tournament. Teams I think that are better than us were handed 2 losses in them

Care to come on the podcast to discuss @Glorydays2013?
If SLU went 6-0 after receiving votes and we had a solid win over Pitt no doubt we would be ranked. 8+ on Pitt (which we could have done) and an unbeaten record could put us in top 25 coaches and maybe 25 AP

At last check last night, the SLU web site showed in der 1,000 seats available for Saturday night.
If Pitt was won, we would be top 25 and have sold out Chaifetz. Oh well we can still do it going 3/4 these next few
-
Also praise for Jacobs. The announcers loved him when he got in I didn’t see him mess up with the ball
-
Bess is gone next year. No eligibility left. And I guess I just assumed they were both 3 in position.
Thatch and Bess both defend the best players when they are in according to the announcers and the announcers say they’re the best defenders on their man

Huh? They play two different positions. KC, Hargrove and Perkins will be the ones to replace Bess, not Thatch.
They have been switching up positions a few times I believe but I should have been more specific. Thatch seems similar to Bess on offense In my opinion but he is a proven defender like Bess. What is thatch’s position compared to Bess?

Such a depressing board. SLU beat Seton Hall on the road. We just beat an 8 point spread
