Inglesby or Drew? Who would you guys honestly prefer? Inglesby apparently did a lot of work at Notre Dame and Brey raved about his coaching and recruiting talents. Drew is already a terrific up and coming head coach who has made Valpo into a two time (should be three time) NCAA tourney team in five years. Both would be awesome hires for SLU, significant upside with either guy. At this point I'll be highly disappointed in May and the AD if we end up with anyone other than Drew, Inglseby, or Rice. I have a feeling Chaifetz won't let that happen. Also, maybe Volfan is right. But perhaps we told Inglesby that we will give him the job if Drew does not accept within 48 hours of Valpo's season ending....

Please let Valpo lose tonight.

Not just replacements, but significant improvements. The talent level has been getting better every year. If what people have said about the 2017 recruit is true, then the women's team will have a 6'0" version of Jackie Kemph in 2017....

So the order of candidates is probably this: 1) Bryce Drew 2) Inglesby/Caputo 3) Dooley/Ford Dooley and Ford really are the plan C's....

I hope to God you actually know something. A guy like Inglesby (who played a major role in recruiting ND stars like Demetrius Jackson... gotdamn) would be a program changer for us.

Here's what I'm guessing is happening. Chaifetz wanted Drew, and May agreed with him on that. But Drew has probably given an indication that he is staying at Valpo and so May's plan B/C is Ford or Dooley. Doc Chaifetz probably hates that idea and has been pushing for an assistant like Inglesby or Capel instead of an already established (and mediocre) head coach like Dooley or Ford...

I have a hunch that Doc Chaifetz has been fighting hard to get what he wants versus what Chris May might want....
