Lead cut to 14 and we turn it over. This game remains losable.

We win this one and I predict an 11-game win streak!! Accept that CBI bid, Chris!!
-
Hughes bang!! Bills up 12. Medley with 3 fouls.

Up 12 at half, I think the Billikens have win #2 and the first road win. LaSalle is unbelievably horrible.
We’re 8-14 and blow leads like we’re getting paid. Brickus, Brantley, and Gill will go off this half. Maybe we hold them off, maybe we don’t.

51-39 at the half!!

We've got more stuffing in our pillow than them
Possibly.

Jimerson hits a very deep three. Bills up 10.
-
SVB with the bucket!! 40-27!!
-
34-24 good guys. Bills shooting 77% from the floor. We fall for too many shot fakes.
-
TJ back in.
-
Hargrove hurt his hand or wrist. Bills up 8.
-
Curcic isn’t a point guard.
-
Parker shooting well.

We look like a semi-competent team so far.
Give it time.

I'd take Fran Dunphy over CTF at this point. It's just unbelievable what this guy has done. Home losses to Fordham now. Is this rock bottom? Can we get worse?
You could always lose at home to SIUE. Oh, wait…
So glad I had to miss yet one more Travis Ford debacle yesterday. Had to attend a retirement banquet which started the same time as the game. Snuck a few peaks at the phone and the game went about as expected, two sucky teams trying to determine which team sucked the less.

Parker is back, Ez is as good as we could have hoped. We are a team that should be getting better, and we aren't.
Both the men’s and women’s seasons are extremely disappointing and both programs are in sad shape. Except for the flukey 11 game run last year, Tillet’s record is horrendous, something like 15-32. Ford has to be fired and next year’s women’s team is currently devoid of talent. May and Oberle have to go.

Wonder if the post-game analysis will include something about turnovers.

Heard the doctor will be in the house. That’s three games in a row…
We lose and they might need a referee to officiate the fistfight between doc and May.

That's not what's happening.
I guess the obvious thing is to ask, “What’s happening?”

More random thoughts:
Meadows was terrible last night. In the last three games we’ve seen Meadows go from slightly decent to just plain bad. OTOH, we’ve seen Medley go from just plain bad to slightly decent. Neither can score off penetration though, so I say sit both of them and move Hughes to the point.
Speaking of Hughes, he played D in the first half like a man possessed. In fact, I was really impressed with the intensity the team played with on the defensive end in the first half. Couldn’t maintain it in the second.
Eziwero had a miserable game, by far his worst of the year. His second foul at the end of the first half was as dumb as it gets. Completely undisciplined. He comes up short in that area and speaking of short, I’ll bet a dollar to a doughnut he’s not 6’9, even in shoes, as Corey Tate likes to say. Doesn’t look it on the court and doesn’t play it either.
When it comes to undisciplined, Sincere Parker is the poster boy for it. He does nothing within the flow of the offense, such as it is, doesn’t pass it, and takes some of the goofiest looking, low percentage shots a player can take. He’ll make some acrobatic buckets, but you can always count on one or more three point attempts from 28’, most of which don’t come close, and some crazy moves you wouldn’t see on the playground.
Jimerson’s a role player who’s overrated in all categories. I know he’s a hard worker and a good guy but he’s not athletic enough to be the go-to guy. Loy-Chi stymied him to the point he couldn’t get off a shot or complete a drive.
At this point, I’m not convinced the win total moves past 8.

Thoughts from the game (my 1st game of the season): …
We started out with 3 straight turnovers I believe (all bad)….
Actually, a turnover, a Jimerson 3, two more turnovers, then a Hargrove 3. Three turnovers in 5 possessions, bad, 6 points in 5 possessions, excellent. Statistics can be weird like that.

There's something to this. Loyola just looked like they had better basketball players than us tonight.
At all positions.

Trouble is Gill and Brantley aren’t. We can’t guard them, have to hope they miss.
