I find it interesting that Rutgers is 19th, Good for Danny! The second thing I find interesting is this board for the most part destroyed Dan during his tenure and now the team is worse off but it seems most have given the new coach a pass. Instead of talking about dominating the A10 or being top 20 we have shifted to a lot of hoping. Be careful what you wish for!

Why is the current coach getting a free pass for the type of season we have had. As I recall Dan got crushed on this board before he left and the program has gone down since. I find it interesting that Rutgers is ranked much higher than SLU in the last poll on the 8th. I think it would be short sighted for people to say that he needs 4 years to turn it around. I would say if things are not drastically better next year than we should start wondering whats going on. The grass is not always greener when we already had a good coach. As of Nov. 8, Rutgers #30, SLU #86. Good for Dan for leaving the mess that is the SLU athletic department and shame on all of you that torched Dan and his teams.

The merit is her record and her contract is up, It's pretty much a done deal. I will accept your apology in a couple of weeks.

I wish her luck, but thank god it's over. I know Skip will be crushed but even Roy who was so high on her when she started has to be smart enough to know that this has been a disaster.

I forgot you were a DI coach that had tremendous record. It's easy to sit back and be an arm chair quarterback when you have never done it!

Donigan never had a contract, that is true. Be careful what you wish for, Dan was a great coach for SLU. Rutgers is definately a step up from SLU. I talked with several coaches around the country today and all of them said it was better especially for Dan.

The WCC is probably going to add Seattle and Pacific. Denver is out! Secondly CD is a solid coach and is going to do good things at Seattle U. The WCC is on the rise and those of you who think SLU is better than St. Mary's have no idea what they are talking about. Randy has done a hell of a job at SMC and would hammer SLU if they played.

Dan will be sorely missed. He gave everything he had to SLU and was passionate about his job. He was never appreciated like he should have been. Rutgers is getting a quality coach and SLU is losing one. Good Luck Danny!

I am not sure if it is a good idea for a coach to post things on an internet chat board of this kind.

I think the public is starting to catch on to what some in the athletic department already know. Shimmy is very hard to play for and hard to get along with. I know there are posters on this board that have sung her praises from her start but she needs to get a serious grip on the program and herself. The young women leaving this program is starting to become an epidemic. IMHO she really has not done much. I would think if the team has another sub par year she should start looking at the job ads.
