  1. He has offered Suggs of course, and after watching Brett play in Chicago he offered him. You must remember I am not a fan of Powell's, and all of that aside I don't think he fits into SLU's system. Powell is a much better fit for Mizzou.
  2. It was confirmed to me earlier today by Jamal and one of the coach's at SLU.
  3. > Brad hasn't been seen at many AAU tourneys this summer. I beg to differ with that statement. Brad was in Chicago before the recruiting period began at an AAU tournamnet. He was at Boo Williams once again before the recruiting period began. He went to Arkansas, Houston, and Dallas. I have also seen Grunk at a couple of tournaments as well. So just because he doesn't go to second or third tier AAU tournaments doesn't mean he doesn't go to any of them. He would have gone to MN this weekend if it wasn't for an important family engagement and he might he will probably go to the KC Keys tournament in a couple of weeks. He will then probably end things at the Nike Memorial Day Classic which is one of the biggest Nike events of the Spring. I have seen a lot of Brad and actually the fact that he has been to a lot of these tourneys has him in on the ground floor with players like Brett Thompson, Scott Suggs, John Brandenburg, Jesse Perry, Ron Waller, Jared Swopshire, Josh McCoy, and so on. He is really working it now. The only question is can he hold it together long enough to get some quality recruits on the team.
  4. From what I have heard from talking to various people within SLU. They have attempted to make contact to John through his high school coach and for some reason they can't get by him. This is also the same coach who told Mizzou that he didn't want to go to a game when he did.
  5. What about the article do you doubt? SLU has not offered him that is the truth.
  6. Here is a question when is the last time they won anything or have come close? Or better yet what is a good reason to go to SLU when you have more than one or two offers? I am not to up on my Bills history even though I am good friends with John Redden, Matt Baniak, Corey Frazier, Earl Austin and others.
  7. SLU has to win something other than just games to have a shot at getting these players.
  8. I have watched Brett play a lot too. And while Brett has a three point shot he has no jumper and no mid range game. Brett will either shoot the three or get it done under the basket. John on the other hand has a mid range game he can shoot elbow jumpers and mid range jumpers.
  9. He has offers from Missouri State and SIU-Carbondale
  10. He also mentioned a host of schools that he is hearing from and yet it doesn't sound like he is interested in them. Has SLU ever showed an interest in him? That is the bigger question. Why would a kid mention that he is interested in going to a local mid major program that isn't interested in him? That would be setting your sites kind of low wouldn't it? Brett Thompson and Scott Suggs were not interested in SLU until they were offered by SLU?
  11. SLU has offered Brett Thompson, Scott Suggs, and Tyler Griffey. Why hasn't SLU offered John Brandenburg?
  12. 2008 Intro: John Brandenburg By: Jeff Goodman National Recruiting Analyst Date: May 2, 2006 Many players around the country have a self-inflated opinion of themselves because people are constantly telling them how good they are. John Brandenburg is not one of them. You've got to give John Brandenburg a lot of credit. He has high standards. ``I didn't think I played well at all," said the 6-foot-11, 225-pound DeSmet High (Mo.) sophomore. "I didn't take the ball to the basket strong., I was getting blocked and there were a lot of good athletes." Welcome to the world of big-time AAU basketball. However, Brandenburg was much better than he gives himself credit for. The young big man competes hard on almost every play and did some things that piqued the interest of some of the country's top coaches. This is Brandenburg's first go-around with the St. Louis Eagles. Last season he suited up with Gateway, which didn't really travel to the national tournaments. ``I love it," Brandenburg said of his April experience in which he has gone up against some elite players. ``Going out there, competing and getting beat up. It gives me something to work on." Brandenburg, who earned a 3.8 in the first semester, averaged a team-high 11 points a game on a balanced high school team this past season. He still needs to get stronger, but he's gained about 40 pounds in the past year thanks to a diet plan. Brandeburg made it no secret that he'd like to follow his favorite player, North Carolina freshman big man Tyler Hansbrough, somewhere to the ACC. Thus far, the interest has come from Missouri, Illinois, Clemson and Wake Forest. The offers: Southeast Missouri State and Southern Illinois. ``I'd really like to play in the ACC," Brandenburg said. "That would be nice." That's not far-fetched at all, especially if Brandenburg plays up to his standards.
  13. I hope he is not our best recruit for that class. I am not saying that to be negative towards Kramer, but I would hope we get some pretty good talent.
  14. Kramer's my dawg and he has much game, heck he has D1 game, but I hope not!
  15. MISSOURI WING NOT A SECRET By Eric Bossi [email protected] April 27, 2006 Partly because of his age and partly because of where he plays his high school ball, not many people outside of the Midwest knew about Scott Suggs a month ago. After terrific showings with the St. Louis Eagles at both the Boo Williams Invitational and the Kingwood Classic, however, the rest of the country is beginning to notice the 6-5 sophomore WG from Washington (MO) High. From the sounds of it, he doesn't care if his name is mentioned on the internet or if he's listed in rankings. "You know, I really try to come out to every game the same," Suggs said. "I come out and play my hardest, see what I can do and just take it from there and try to build up my confidence." With long arms and a slender build, Suggs sometimes looks like he's in slow motion. He lulls defenders to sleep with his methodic hip-high dribble before snapping the ball from one side to the other and blowing by them into the lane. He can shoot jumpers from deep and he's an excellent passer, but it's his outstanding mid-range game that really sets him apart from his peers. "I think shooting off the dribble and the mid-range jumper is the best part of my game," said Suggs. "I think that I need to work on catching and shooting." Even though he may not have had a reputation nationally with scouts, college coaches are already very familiar with his game. Odds are that they and the scouts will become much more familiar with him down the road, and he's just started the recruitment process. "Right now I don't really know where I want to go, so any college that is interested can recruit me," said Suggs. "Illinois, Washington, Saint Louis, SIU and Kansas are recruiting me early." As for what he's looking for: "I'm not sure yet," said Suggs. "I think I might want to go far away, I might want to stay home. It's just going to depend what I feel like when I'm a senior."
  16. Actually at tournaments Coach Soderberg usually sits next to Mr Suggs and a couple of other parents. Let me just tell you guys this Kramer Soderberg is representing big time.
  17. Brett could also be a big 4 and Brandenburg and athletic 5.
  18. Apparently some of the Billikens players will be at Whitfield School with the Suggs Family on Sunday. This is recruiting at it's best. Kramer spending the weekend with Scott. The Bills spending the afternoon with the family. And you guys say the Bills aren't trying to recruit.
  19. That very thing happened at Washington High School too. I wonder if they are being recruited by some of the same schools...lol
  20. >i have heard from a very reliable source that this is not >true OJ. When you say you heard from a very reliable source that this is not true, you have to be full of it. Because I had the conversation with Alex and he said, "SLU is not interested in me." If you would have talked to Alex he would have told you that he and I talked and that he doesn't think SLU is interested in him. So I don't know how you have a reliable source when I talked to the kid. So you need to be real clear about what you are saying is not true!
  21. >Hey, I'm ready to start the Voyoukas Dynasty at Saint >Louis!!!!!! Sign that KID UP! I talked to Alex yesterday upon his return from a Jr. Nationals warm up in Germany and he said that SLU is not interested in him. So that should end all of that speculation.
  22. I am not sure of what Ian was like as a freshman but I would venture to say rawness is a genetic trait. Alex is tall and he loves the perimeter, but his body is probably more suited to be an in the paint type of player. He needs a bit of work and some toughness, but he could transform into a pretty good player like his brother did.
  23. >One of the guys on KNFS also mentioned that Ian's 17 year >old brother, who is a skilled 6'8" player, was considering >joining Ian at SLU next year and redshirting. I have met Alex and worked him out a few times. But I am pretty sure he is a 2008 kid.
