  1. I believe the towel motivational tool was a Booby Knight special. Although, it was rumored that Rick pulled out his wanker to demonstrate how much room he wanted between a screener and the ball handler.
  2. With the talent some of his rosters have had it’s been mostly lowlights. Never beating a top 25 team, never winning an A10 reg season championship, some memorable collapses (blowing the lead against Auburn stands out), one and outs in the dance and 2 NITs, and the dagger to the heart loss at home to SIUE with what was supposed to be one of SLU’s best ever teams. Hate to be negative, but being honest, there’s no denying his tenure here has been one big disappointment. One A10 tourney championship doesn’t outweigh all the failed expectations.
  3. I’m old. But unless my memory has gone full Biden, this is the second game when Curcic got good minutes we built good leads. Now he sits for the last 5 minutes and gets minimal minutes after he stretched our first half lead. WTF Travis? Play the guy!
  4. Had a feeling this wouldn’t be easy.
  5. I doubt Mr Bishop will be at GW next year unless they got a pile of NIL $’s.
  6. Bill, lighten up. We can pray for miracles.
  7. Wow a steal and some points. Now that’s a rare sighting this year.
  8. On their misses Gibby should sprint down the court. Find him with a pass. It’s the only way he gets open looks.
  9. And here we go with the dumbass TO’s!
  10. Agreed. He played well at MB, but sparingly. He’s a freaking keeper. He’s strong, shoots the 3, and savvy. If he plays down the stretch he may stay.
  11. Got to like the balanced scoring.
  12. Circuc en fuego! I like that kid.
  13. If you can’t defend ‘em foul ‘em!
  14. Over/under for how many drinks/beers by half time.
  15. Injury or something else for Sincere?
  16. Can’t wait to see the crowd for this yawner.
  17. Here’s what I don’t get about the BOT. No doubt the primary purpose of SLU is to educate. But that’s the primary purpose of every university worth its salt. But SLU is in competition for applicants with every major college in America. And that’s where athletics come into play. College sports gets just about every school, other than the Ivy’s and a handful of others, more recognition than any area of academic achievements. For example, look at Notre Dame in little old South Bend, IN. How many kids who go there can name one academic or scientific breakthrough that school has made? But ask them what they’re noted for and it’s FOOTBALL! It’s fun to go there for the FOOTBALL! Take Gonzaga, a little known small town school way out in the Far West boondocks. Suddenly they are a great BB school and applications go up and kids from all over the country are applying. The list goes on and on. But SLU had never recognized the importance of athletics as a marketing tool. I don’t get it. You’d think the BOT would be aware of this and put more resources into one of the major marketing tools available and increase the interest in prospective students. Finishing at the bottom of the A10 and not making the dance on a regular basis is doing little to enhance the school’s image.
  18. 38! I’m surprised they agree on anything.
  19. How many years are left on this 10 year contract? I was under the belief he got the deal after the ‘19 season. If so it still has 5 years left after this year. So at $2.5mm we would hand him a check for $7.5mm to go coach at ND STATE FARGO? Is this the situation? If so, we’re effed. Unless a whale steps up to pay him to go away. I don’t see the BOT approving that buyout.
