alameda bob Posted December 24, 2003 Share Posted December 24, 2003 Billikens are everywhere. When we moved into our house 13 years ago, our next door neighbor introduced himself. Jim Duncan went thru HS in Breese, IL. Then went into the Navy Sub Service in WWII. Went to SLU on the GI Bill, then when Korea started joined the Air Force and became a bomber pilot. He has lived in CA since the mid 50's. Raised 5 kids, 3 are attorneys now. His best SLU story was when crossing Lindell on his way to class, President Harry Truman and another guy are waiting on the corner for the light to change. All Jim could think to say was "Give 'em hell, Harry" So HT shakes his hand and laughs! When he got to class no one believed him. But knowing the kind of guy Jim is, I do.
