LeeRoyLucero Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Just wanted to drop by and thank Rick Majerus and St. Louis for coming to The Pit and being our one quality non-conference game! Most schools don't have the guts to come play in The Pit and we are stuck with UMKC, North Dakota St., New Orleans, etc. etc. etc. So it was awesome to see Rick back in Albuquerque... Prior to Steve Alford being hired Rick was a guy that I and many other Lobo fans would have loved seen coach the Lobos as the guy is class and a great basketball coach! The game was awesome today back and forth and I have to say that I was so impressed with Brian Conklin that dude is a baller big time! Just a big tank of a man that don't miss! I hope that our bigs can get as good as Conklin and that Alford finds more like him. He is awesome! Well once again thanks for a great game and hope to see you all in the NCAA tourney! Rick Majerus has no qualms playing anywhere - and I believe he wanted to use the Pit experience to get the guys prepared for conference play.
