kwyjibo Posted March 1, 2004 Share Posted March 1, 2004 Interesting points: 1) The BCS will try to add a completely NEW bowl and expand to 5 bowls (it might not work out but it is their 1st option). My suggestion for the new bowl name would be the Money Bowl or http://www.ridiculopathy.com/stock/monopolyguy2.jpg the Monopoly Bowl. 2) Top six in BCS standings guaranteed a spot (unlike a lot of "big-time" fans I have no problem with this). 3) The BCS will continue to give the Big East an automatic slot until 2010. Which means that 9 of the best teams in the country AND the Big East champ get to play in their "reindeer games". I can see it now an unranked Big East champ (UConn?) at 7-4 playing in the Rose Bowl. 4) Boston College went to the ACC for the sole reason to get BCS cash (Miami and Va Tech probably did it more to help with recruiting).
